How to unlock the A Moment of Greatness achievement in NHL 15 - Definitive Guide

If you play the moment OT Winner (from 2013-14), you will be playing as the Los Angeles Kings against the Chicago Blackhawks in the Western Conference Final. You start at the beginning of a 20 min OT period, so you only have to score one goal to get it. If they score, the game ends and you can restart. As it is a playoff game, it will continue on after the first OT period with another one until either team scores. Just keep at it, firing pucks against Crawford and eventually one will go in and netting you the achievement.

great guide! im sure I got lucky as hell, but lost the initial face-off, picked the puck up to the left of my net, passed it up the boards to an open player, slap shot from just inside the blue line beat crawford...took me no more than 20 seconds. definitely the one to play it on even if you don't get as lucky as i did.

Great method done it in my second try and I'm awful at the game. P.s the moment is now named OT Thriller. :)

If you’re awful at the game what does that make me? I’ve been at this for half an hour and either lose or the goalie blocks all shots

Edit: got it shorty after posting. But just to notify that probably most of the people who got it early are the ones that commented. Don’t expect to breeze through it, but it’s possible

There are 4 difficulties to complete these challenges, Superstar being the hardest. Though it’s the hardest difficulty, playing one of the Be a Pro moments for this trophy isn’t overly that difficult, as they generally require you to simply score one goal with the player you are using. When you select the moment you wish to play, you’ll then be prompted to select the difficulty.

The moment I found easiest to achieve this on was ‘A Star is Born’, which requires you to score just the one goal with Tyler Seguin and go on to win the match (you are already winning prior to needing to score anyway). You start the moment late into the 3rd period, so you shouldn’t have many problems in regards to letting slip the lead and losing the game.

This achievement can be difficult for people new to the game. Your best bet is to play the moment “OT Winner” since all you need to do is score one goal. If the opposing team scores before you, just restart and try again.

The easiest way (for me personally) is a moment called “Old Rivals” where Montreal and Boston play. Why is it the simplest? This is the only moment where your team leads from the very beginning. Accordingly, here you don’t need to fly forward and win back, but you just need to not miss the puck.

It's easiest in the moment of overtime sensation. You only need to score 1 goal.
