How to unlock the You're a Star! achievement in NHL 20 - Definitive Guide
This achievement is for earning 50 stars in HUT challenges.
This is very straightforward. You can access HUT challenges by going to HUT, then going to the Single Player tab and choosing HUT challenges. Here, you'll see there are 25 challenges on each difficulty level, as well as 10 for whatever event is going on.
The easiest approach is to go to the Rookie challenges as they'll all be on Rookie difficulty level. They're grouped into five sets of five plus skill challenges at the bottom. These skill challenges do not have stars associated with them and will not count towards this achievement.
Each challenge game is three 2 minute periods. You need to complete challenges to earn stars. Some example challenges are below:
-Complete/Win a game
-Have x amount of shots
-Have at least x passing %
-Maximum x amount of shots allowed
-Maximum x amount of goals allowed
-Have x amount of hits
-Win x more faceoffs than your opponent
-Have x more shots than your opponent
-Don't get any penalties
Once you complete the game, you'll be awarded stars based on the challenges you complete. They don't all have to be done in a single game, but you should be able to get all 3 stars in each rookie challenge without trying too hard. As soon as you hit 50, you'll unlock the achievement.
There is one important thing I'd like to note. Each event (NHL Classic, Fantasy Hockey, etc.) has timed challenges where you can earn up to 30 stars. These stars only count towards your total as long as the challenges exist within the game. What this means is, once those challenges are gone, those stars no longer count towards your 50. I found this out while attempting to earn the achievement myself. I earned about 20 stars in the NHL Classic event challenges and I have currently earned 29/30 in the Fantasy Hockey event. I did one challenge on pro, got 3 stars, and no achievement. I had to earn 21 more stars in rookie challenges for this and as soon as I did that, I unlocked the achievement. Keep this in mind if you're only using the event challenges to work towards this achievement.

Thanks for the solid info. Especially the las thing you said, I currently have like 20 stars in the Leaders Event and it ends in less than 3 days

They may update it eventually or maybe I somehow miscalculated, but I'm like 99.99% sure that the event challenge stars no longer count once that event is done. Maybe if someone would be able to confirm that at some point that would be sweet just to make sure they either haven't fixed it or I'm not losing my mind

I would recommend doing all of the Rookie Challenges for an easier time. You can get a total of 75 stars from the Rookies Challenges so you don't even have to do them all. From what I gathered the challenges are pretty simple. I would complete what I needed and then just sat there skating around in circles to ensure I didn't mess anything up.
