I started this from a new save so go to be a pro and when the game ask you where do you want to start pick NHL. Your first few games will be preseason. You can tell because when looking at the calendar, under the teams it will say preseason or regular season. Make sure you're in a regular season game and score a goal. If you score in preseason this will not unlock.
