How to unlock the Craft Your Glory achievement in NHL 23 - Definitive Guide
Pretty simple if you want to go straight for the achievement, however this Custom League mode is actually a ton of fun.
Anyway, go to franchise and start a custom league, make it the original 6 teams, ignoring all the other stuff, then make the schedule 20 games per season. In the playoffs, have 4 teams advance and continue through the rest.
When you pick your team, I chose Toronto since they have the best Ovr.
I also had owner mode on but I am not sure if it matters, if you want to rush through, turn everything off and turn on the auto sign and auto staff management as to where the CPU basically does it.
Sim thru the season, keep track of your record and when it is playoffs time, if you made it make a save. From here out I simmed every game and made a save after every win all thru the playoffs. If you do this, after the 4th win in the Stanley Cup, the achievement will unlock!

Okay so, my guide is going to be very similar to the other one in a lot of ways, but with the opportunity to double-up with the "Coaching Royalty" acheivement and kill two birds with one stone.
Start a custom league with 6 teams, a 20 game season, and 1 game playoff rounds (the playoff format will say 1H.) This will automatically load in the original 6 teams.
Choose a bad team (I went with Arizona) and replace Toronto (the highest ranked team in the Original 6) with them, and play as that team. That way, you'll be the "dark horse" nobody would expect to win. Taking a bad team to an unexpected level of success seems to be the way to the Jack Adams trophy, which is the key to the other achievement.
The Jack Adams doesn't have exact criteria so ranking high in the regular season but losing in the playoffs, or doing just ok in the regular season but winning the playoffs both might, and if you just wanna go for speed, simulating the whole regular season a couple times until you get into the playoffs might be the quickest way to go.
But to ensure you get both achievements in one run, I made sure my team was ranked 1 going into the playoffs AND won the cup. You can do this by simulating larger lengths of the season when you're ahead, but then when a game actually matters (including the playoffs) you can sim the first two periods and jump in for the third to get the win.
Do this for the season and the 2 playoff games, and you will definitely get this one. If you did strongly enough during the regular season as well, you'll probably also get Coaching Royalty.
(Note: Coaching Royalty won't pop until you get to the point in the off season where they give out solo awards, which for me I think was mid-May.)

Nice guide. Going with AZ worked a dream. I subbed out the Original 6 teams with some others that I like to follow: WPG, FLA, TB, SEA & BUF to mix it up and was able to finish first by simming and won the playoffs by only doing a 3 game series with 2 rounds. Easy. Thanks for the tips.
