How to unlock the Clutch player achievement in NHL 94 REWIND - Definitive Guide
Make sure to pick New Playoffs as the game mode, 5 minute periods, no penalties, no line changes. I picked the Toronto Maple Leafs (naturally).
What I did was got myself up 1-0 (it doesn't matter really, but I wanted a buffer in case of any mistakes), then what you do is hang around behind your net, specifically behind the red line. The AI seem to bug out and not know what to do half the time and they do circles around your zone. If they start to get aggressive, try and head out to the neutral zone (past your blue line) and then back behind the net. The purpose of this is to kill the clock until you get close to the end of the 3rd period.
Once comfortable, dump the goal into your own net. It's easy to just steer the player with the puck to the goalie, then once the goalie has the puck just skate towards your net and it'll go in. Now, wait until overtime, and then score a goal. There are great tips to scoring on one of the other guides here, but typically what I would do is skate from the hash-marks in front of the opponent's goal holding B, then release once kind of in front, and hold the D-Pad in the direction you're skating. For example, if heading left to right in front of the goalie, hold right on the D-Pad - most of the time it just floats right past the goalie into the net.
Hope this helps!

Yeah, I found they would kind of float in circles for a minute and then try to take the puck but if you chase them into the neutral zone and go back behind your net they reset the same pattern.

I was actually surprised by the AI in this. IDK how to feel about that LOL.
I recall in the recent main series releases you can go behind the net and the opposing teams center will get in your zone and stop and just do nothing.
In this I noticed the opposing teams center and winger would each enter my zone and take turns moving closer to me behind the net each time. As if assessing risk or something. Then finally they would come try to take the puck. lmao.
