I did this postgame myself, I kept researching the next levels of spells each time the research finished and upgraded as many of the spells with whatever money and materials I had to hand.

Most of the basic spells can be upgraded to level 10 easily enough but I was upgrading everything for Hard mode to try making it easier for myself and it popped easy enough
