How to unlock the Plumbing the Depths achievement in Ni no Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom - The Prince's Edition - Definitive Guide
You don't need to play the entire game on hard for this, you can just switch difficulties before attempting the run.
This is endgame content. Only go for this if you plan to 100% the game anyway.
This is only obtainable after you'll finish the "002: Top Marks for Trying" quest. The quest becomes accessible right after you escape the sewers and complete the Grotty Grotto door. The locations of the 9 doors (they get progressively harder):
Grotty Grotto
Sundown Woods
Eert Grove
Shrine of Pining
Sublime Shrine
BlowTorch Cave
Crooked Cavern
Bleachbone Shrine
Shivery Shrine
After you will complete all these you will get access to the Faraway Forest door. This Maze is the only where this is obtainable. The maze only goes up to floor 30 on Normal, you will need to set the game to Hard before entering to be able to progress further. As you may guess the resistance is massive, I would heavily suggest to progress in the "Labyrinth" DLC a lot (as the difficulty, progression and loot is miles better than in any of the DLCs) before attempting this and be above lvl100. Naturally you should research everything related to the dimensional and multi-dimensional lab. You should focus on getting through the floors as fast as possible and reduce the danger level if you can. The loot and XP is garbage in all the endgame content except the Labyrinth, there is little reason to make this harder than it is needed.
The loadout of Evan (Wizard's Companion - Sunrise), Leander (Wizard's Companion - Evenstar), Tani (Gizmo Supremo - Hail of Arrows) with Genie Juices is heavily suggested. The main issue is the floor 40 boss who will spawn 3 high level bosses as its health diminishes and you'll need to kill those too on the same item budget. If you are high enough level you can spam Sunrise to oblivion but watch out for the damage, you don't want to run out of healing halfway.

for those that may wonder; the first time I did Faraway Forest, I set it to hard. when completed, both achievements popped, and credit for the sidequest. Boddly even knows the dragon is already defeated when that part comes up later.
I was lvl 117, and it was no sweat. but took nearly 1 hour to finish. even dodging as many fights as possible.
I believe you unlock the ability to skip to floors 11, 21, & 31 in Evermore. but I didnt know that, and unsure the requirements.
