Even doing it the way they intended is easy. I fought a level 9 Manny with Ember and won flawlessly my first try. But if that works...

Similar to Not Even a Contest (100G) except it's one on one. Just like that achievement, make sure to set the rules to a single stock so you only have to kill them once. Since it's one on one, nothing fancy is required; you can simply charge smash attacks and let the CPU come to you, then release when they're close enough. I found Plankton to have really good reach with his smash. Just smash the CPU over and over as they approach, and you should win without any real issues. If you're playing with single stock, you'll unavoidably unlock Smashing! (10G) when you win.
