Just noticed I simply didn’t get this despite having won every other story related achievement

Story-related and cannot be missed.
Ending A will happen when you complete the game for the 1st time. After the un-skippable credits roll, be sure to save your game when prompted. When you're back on the main menu, hit "continue" and load that same save. You'll start back at the beginning of Part Two and can proceed to complete the second half again to get Ending B (Lingering Memories
).
