How to unlock the Permission Granted achievement in NieR Replicant ver.1.22474487139... - Definitive Guide
It's recommended you wait to do this trophy until you're working on Endings C or D, or wait until after you've completed Ending E since you'll get a super OP weapon from that run.
You'll go up against Devola and Popola twice when you enter the Lost Shrine for the final time. The first time you go up against them, you won't actually "defeat" them, but more so... well... drive them away. This is where you'll get this trophy. You'll go up against both at the same time, but can focus on just attacking one as they both share a health bar. They don't take too much damage overall and will move around quite a lot, so make sure you're locked on one of them and just constantly spam your spells / magic attacks against them. When their pink shields are up (after each time they move), if you're too close, it'll send you flying back. After about a second or two, their shields will fade away, allowing you to attack them once again. If you can, it's recommended you charge up your Dark Lance and Dark Hand attacks. They'll eventually start to use these against you, but they're the attacks I felt did the most damage against them.
You should be able to get them scared off in about 2 minutes or so. Don't forget to skip any cutscenes that appear since those add to the clock. Once you've driven them off and if it was within the required time limit, the trophy will unlock.
