How to unlock the Maestro achievement in Night in the Woods - Definitive Guide
On days 1, 4 and 8 you'll have unmissable band practice, where you and your friends will play a different song each time. In order to unlock this achievement, you'll need to do reasonably well in a Guitar Hero-style minigame.
Here's some videos of the songs. They are from the PC version, but should suffice to get an idea of the songs. The videos are not mine, credit to its uploader.
Day 1: Die anywhere else.
Day 4: Weird Autumn
Day 8: Pumpkin Head Guy
The first two songs are rather easy, and shouldn't pose a problem. The third one really steps up in difficulty. You'll need to master almost the entire song, and for the hellish part (1:15 in the video) what I did was to focus completely in and as they are the most repeated notes, and throw some in between if I could do it without failing. Keep calm, and, important, don't "overstrum" as that adds to the errors. If you follow these tips, you should get it after a few tries.
Note that this has to be done during the band practice scenes. So, if, after ending the song, Gregg doesn't say "That was pretty good" that means you have failed. If that happens, hold to exit the game, and when selecting "Continue" from the main menu, you'll be back at the beginning of band practice, ready to try again.
Also, keep in mind that completing these songs with a good rating will unlock three sketches needed for another achievement

Fuck this achievement, and fuck Demontower. Anyway, definitely mute the game for PHG (the first two songs I was able to do fine with the audio on, even though the notes don't always match the music). I was having a particularly hard time getting the timing right for the section of PHG just before the insane solo, where you're mashing A/B/X a bunch in a row...it might be useful to do a few throwaway practice runs where you don't worry about nailing the song, just concentrate on figuring out the timing for the mash section and maybe practice the solo some. Once I finally managed to get most of the mashing part (I think I might have had one or two mistakes there), can confirm everyone else's advice that you can safely skip all of the X presses during the solo and as long as you get just about all of the A, Y, and B notes correct you will get the "pretty good!" rating. It does take a lot of practice though. Try to concentrate on watching the buttons as they approach the bottom and ignore the "strings" as best you can, because the near-constant shaking as you skip Xs can be very distracting and make you think you're messing up the other notes when you actually aren't.
And personally I found it most helpful to have my left thumb on the Y button and use my right thumb for A, B, and X. Some have said to use one thumb for X & Y and one for A & B, but my coordination is not good enough to be moving two fingers back and forth...keeping one thumb in place with just a single button to control was the most helpful for me.

I recommend muting the sound and just doing it by visual. The song doesn't seem to hit the notes with the button presses, so it's distracting.
