Night Lights (US)

can be missed - once you finish the initial city area and move on to the teleporter to the desert, there will be a long ish cutscene showing the length of the desert area, with tall structures littering the 'scape. Those structures are the upgrade towers that you'll need to work through to get the upgrade achievements. Simply let this cutscene playout though to get the achievement, if you press buttons to skip like I did you'll miss the achievement. I believe if you skip it you can just go back through the teleporter and try again, but if you progress too far into the story you automatically spawn in at a closer teleporter voiding it.
