This one is very easy! You can restart as many times as you can. So if you catch a lot of damage go to START and reload the previous checkpoint.
Equip the red glowing Ninja Blade and just hit the LT+X button the whole time and try to dodge all of his attacks. In the last stage use a adrenaline boost with the Ninja vision. With this combo he will die in just one attack (EASY mode). You don't have to see his black clones.
I completed this level with just 1 damage... Just one. The main-key is RESTART CHECKPOINT when you got hit. And set the difficulty to easy.

He means checkpoint not chapter.
I was running low on adrenaline shots so decided to check if restarting the previous checkpoint carried over the damage to the end and got the achievement on my first try with 807 damage.
I come on here to post my results because I hadn't read them elsewhere and somebody beat me to it by about 12 hours.

hey does the damage from the ninja blade(i have the true blade) count towards the damage. Also, is it possible to get more adrenaline?

i suggest also to use adrenalin boosts in the last part of the mission (top of the tokio tower), use one boost, attack with ninja blade to remove the red shield, choose the stonerender at it's maximum level, then use the ninja vision, go near kambè and press x, then hold x button a few seconds and attack, he will die instantly

Wait until you finish the game and use your Stonerender at its maximum level in easy mode. Spam the X, X (hold button to charge your attack then release it) combo using ninja vision. The boss will need only one combo at each stage to be kicked out. When he has his red shield up, just hit him one time with the Ninja Blade (this will break the shield), then switch to Stonerender to finish him.

Once you complete the game on hard difficulty you unlock the 4th ninjutsu. This gives you a protective aura. Beat the mission on normal and reload manually if you take too much damage. Using Adrenalin Boosts and swapping swords to avoid the overtime damage by the Ninja Blade will help.
