How to unlock the Five of Yellow achievement in NINJA GAIDEN II - Definitive Guide
During chapter 7, you will come to a room with a control panel, a save statue, doors to two pods either side of the room and a green switch which opens a trap door to climb down to proceed. If you've climbed down this hatch to find a corpse with the Tonfas weapon, climb back up the ladder and you'll be in the correct room. Behind one of the pod doors is the Piercing Void ninpo and the one opposite is the trial chamber (you must have collected the Rod of Trials from chapter 2 to see it).
This is a pretty tough challenge, and the reward isn't all that great: a Jewel of the Demon Seal. I would advise, therefore, that if you end up using a lot of your stockpiled health items completing the trial, you may want to consider reloading a previous checkpoint once achievement unlocks to keep your health items intact. It's not like you need to upgrade all of the ninpo anyway, right? (The Phoenix ninpo is considered by many to be a waste of time.)
This challenge contains the larger of the two types of robot you've encountered so far, the ninjas with SMGs/Uzis and the ninjas with rocket launchers. The way I did it was this:
- I used the the level 3 Dragon Sword and level 3 Inferno ninpo. I also had plenty of Lives of a Thousand Gods, health items, ninpo items and Incendiary Shurikens.
- I concentrated on the robots first, then the SMG ninjas, finally the rocket ninjas.
- Keep moving at all times as it's pretty difficult stay a safe distance from the robots and it makes it much harder for the rocket ninjas to aim properly.
- Every time a robot spawns, use a ninpo to soften him up (and also target two of the other ninjas if possible). Then damage the robot with Flying Swallow moves until he loses his head. Do an obliteration technique (Y button execution) close to finish him off and jump away to avoid the blast. The robots only come one at a time and a new one will spawn when you kill one. I wasn't counting, but looking at the amount of ninpo items I used, I'd say there were approximately 10-12.
- Once no more robots spawn, concentrate on the SMG ninjas with Flying Swallows. There shouldn't be that many left to spawn, considering you've killed many with your ninpo already.
- Finally, take out the rocket ninjas - there will only be two at any one time, so keep moving and either use Flying Swallows or Incendiary Shurikens to take off a limb, followed up with an Obliteration Technique.
Once you complete the level, two chests appear. The one on the left (if you're stood in the middle of the arena) contains hostile ghost fish which release blue essence when killed, the one on the right contains the Jewel of the Demon Seal. Exit the arena via the blue portal and the achievement will unlock once you're back in the room with the save statue.
Like I said before, if completing the level robs you of most of your stockpiled Lives of the Gods and other items (don't feel bad, it's pretty tough), you may want to consider ditching the Jewel in lieu of keeping the health items, by reloading the checkpoint and continuing on.

A real easy way to do all the tests of valour is to play through the game once, then replay on same difficulty because you get to keep all your upgraded weapons & ninpo.Blitzed this with lvl 4 dragon sword & 6 ninpo slots + 3 devils mushrooms, also your health meter will be alot bigger as you extended that the first run through. The other advantage is you should also get your feat of a 1000 obliterations & 1000 ultimate if you didn't get these on the first run.The above guide has the technique down pat,but on a second run your chances of success improve greatly.
to get this achievement u will come across a save point in chapter seven were there is three doors the one door contains a chest the other contains the trial u cannot miss this because u will have 2 press a switch 2 activate the door 2 get 2 the next part of the game

So I have been doing some research and have found out there is an Invincible glitch which I am suprised that it is nowhere to be found in solutions so I guess I will be the one to post it. I have beat this game 14 times in total trying to complete it and it is one of the hardest games I have ever played.
To activate Invincibility you need more than 1 weapon, so as soon as you get the staff in the beginning you can activate it. To activate Invincibility open up your weapons by hitting up on the D-pad and hitting X+B at the same time on another weapon. To de-activate it just equipt ANY weapon, THERE IS NO OTHER WAY TO DEACTIVATE IT SO DONT WORRY! To run around with it on you have to jump around alot, and right when you land push up on your analog stick. To read tips on using this glitch or strategies to beat bosses and other units just read my guide on the Master Ninja achievement:
