When there is essence nearby, hold Y to absorb it to instantly charge up your Ultimate Technique and release it on a nearby enemy and make them wish they had never been born. This can be done with all primary weapons as well as the bow, incendiary shuriken, and Windmill Shuriken, but you will most likely do this with the Dragon Sword on the first level.
