How to unlock the Vigoorian Flail Master achievement in NINJA GAIDEN Σ - Definitive Guide
The Vigoorian Flail is a fast, not heavily damaging weapon capable of free-form combos like the Nunchaku. Unlike the Nunchaku however, it can be upgraded to level 2 and has a Flying Swallow move equivalent, Red Hot Iron Brand. It is obtained during Chapter 7, from a chest near the elevator to and from the Ritual Room. At Level 2, it is quite an effective weapon on man size or smaller enemies and Ghuls, being especially good against the Ghost Fish and Bats. If you use it against all the Ghost Fish across your Story playthroughs, this should come quite naturally, as Ghost Fish spawn in groups of 40 or so normally, so several hundred kills are obtained per playthrough this way. It is also quite a prevalent weapon in Mission Mode, though is rarely the best choice.
However, if you feel the need to grind out the 1000 kills in your first Story playthrough, there are two spots I would recommend. Chapter 12 has a respawning flock of bats in the area with the Save Point and the manhole to Tairon and Chapter 18 has a group of 45 Ghost Fish that respawn every time you use the doors to the Stairway to the Imperial Palace. Pick a spot, tap away at X until each enemy is dead, then leave and re enter the area to start all over again.

Warning to anyone that sees: I have a very very strong suspicion to the point of being almost certain that some of the bat groups do not count as kills for whatever reason. I didn't test the particular bat group mentioned in this solution, but did the one near the anubis statues in I think Ch9, and another group later on where there's a small circular cave room with a small pool of water you dive into. Both are groups that if you simply walk away and walk back they'll respawn infinitely. I'm reasonably certain they don't count, as I sat there for awhile trying. Much longer than the time it's taking to do each weapon with the ghost fish in Ch18. So, if you're going to grind weapons, do yourself a favor and just do the ghost fish lol.

If suddenly you really want to get a trophy, but there is no desire to replay the game and fight with new weapons, then there is only one way out - to farm trials. I recommend a specific one: the second trial in UNrivaled meetings. The goal of the trial is to kill 120 enemies in 4 minutes.
The enemies in order are:
- 20 “spirits”, transparent clots of energy (such as will-o-wisp from mythology), are killed in an elementary way and, if anything, are not seriously injured,
- 20 “bees”, they hurt more, you need to hit longer, but they are slow and clumsy,
- 20 ghostly piranhas, these swoop in immediately and can gnaw for a long time - don’t stand still and learn a combination of buttons that allows you to actively kill flying enemies while standing still. After them, in the second circle, 20 pieces each in the same order.
My skill is average, I usually died at the first piranhas (40-50 enemies) or reached the end (120 enemies), i.e. on average there are 80-90 enemies per battle. An hour and a half of not very intense game - and the trophy is yours.

I farmed kills with all types of weapons in Chapter 18, at the top of the tower near the save and the Team Ninja card. If you constantly return to the circular staircase, fish will respawn there (about 30 pieces). Trophies for ninpo and 99,999 essence are also farmed there. From my own experience, I’ll say it doesn’t take that long to farm. The main thing is to choose a combo and timing for each weapon, otherwise you will get tired of constantly breaking out of the “embrace” of the fish. Install Red Dragon Hemlet, this will reduce the damage taken.
