Collecting all the Scarabs will make the harder difficulties easier since you will will unlock merchandise from Muramasa. There are guides scattered across the entire Internet but if you don't feel like looking, you can check my playthrough NGS - Master Ninja Mode Playthrough that collected all of them. There is a total of 50 Scarabs and most of them are impossible to miss. Some are hidden very well so its best if you follow a guide so you won't lost track of your progress. The trophy will unlock after you've collected all 50 Scarabs.
