How to unlock the Gesture Master achievement in Nioh - Definitive Guide

Gestures are unlocked as mission completion rewards, but also from miscellaneous tasks, such as giving dungballs to the dung lover in mission “The Defiled Castle”. The easiest way is to buy them from the Hidden Teahouse (unlocked after main mission “Spider Nest Castle”). You can exchange glory for new gestures. Glory is earned by defeating revenants, and by assisting other players in co-op. This is the easiest way to get a lot of glory in the game.
When the game starts you already have a few gestures, and they count towards the 40 total. The rest will come naturally as you complete all missions the game has to offer. By the end of the story you should have this. If not, buy a few more gestures from the Hidden Teahouse and make sure you completed all side quests. You don’t need to search for any gestures, as they are automatic mission rewards.

You don't need to buy anything at the tea house... The trophy is practically a story trophy. We simply carry out all the missions, including additional ones... The only gesture that is not mission-specific is “Joy” we get from the mimic.

You can get gestures using different methods.

The remaining 3 can be obtained further through tasks, or you can buy them in the Tea House for fame points, which tick in normal quantities if you join a clan as soon as the house becomes available. There is no need to take any part in these battles. Just go to the Clan Battle Results once a week and get points. The number of them per week will depend on simple luck, if the clan you joined wins the weekly battle, more points will arrive. I got 10,000 at once by visiting the rating.
