How to unlock the Nue Slayer achievement in Nioh - Definitive Guide

Nue of Mount Hiei is an optional boss in main mission “The Demon of Mount Hiei”. Unlike other bosses, it does not display a health bar at the bottom of the screen. It’s the exact same boss as Nue in the early main mission “The Spirit Stone Slumbers”.

Wait for her to breathe lightning or poison at you. Then quickly dodge to the left of her head (always the left so she can’t hit you!) and attack with quick low stance attacks. While Nue unleashes lightning she is defenseless and will sit around and her belly will glow yellow. This is the moment to attack with a heavy attack to instantly drain her Ki bar. You can then unleash a barrage of attacks or follow up with your Guardian Spirit, and she won’t be able to recover from her downed state. Make sure to dodge quickly after you attack, as she will unleash lightning strikes on your location when she recovers her Ki bar.

Also use the nearby hotspring before the fight for automatic health recovery.

You can run past. Kinki area, quest Demon of Mount Hiei.
This is an electric dog (3 boss), not far from the boss of the task.

the easiest way is to jump to him with a living weapon, destroy the buffing crystal and, running along the path on the right, return to the road, shoot the enemy from above with an arquebus and a gun (here he can only reach you by calling lightning), this will also attract him to you and allow you to carry out a blow in the fall. After this, all that remains is to call upon a living weapon to finish off Nue in a couple of blows

The tactics are not exactly the same as described above. Especially in the Magic Exam with a wooden sword.
Basically, you have to run from him, at medium distance, with a fast weapon. When arching your back, run until they hit you with 4 ranks and you can hit the boss in the side, but the heart will be closed. If you are at a medium distance, the boss often tries to use a beam from his mouth; from the required distance, you just have enough time to run to his side and hit him in the heart, he will lose his stamina and you can hit him with a full series in the face. You shouldn’t get carried away, he always follows up with 4 bolts of lightning. Sometimes at a medium distance he attacks with his claws, this is visible, because... they glow before attacking. It hits three times, I usually dodge to the left 3 times.

This boss is optional and will be your second encounter in the game. You've already seen him in the mission where you meet Kelly for the first time in Japan and meet Muneshige.
Tactics against the boss are elementary. Run at a respectful distance (so as not to hit with your paws) and wait for him to start casting summon lightning. This can be seen by the way he begins to arch his back. As soon as he starts doing this, run towards him (try to time it so that you get between the lightning strikes) and hit him in the glowing chest. This will interrupt the cast (but if you calculate the timing incorrectly, lightning will have time to fly at you, so for prevention, dodge immediately after the hit) and will knock off all the boss’s stamina. Beat him until his stamina runs out and then run in circles again. Thus, he dies without even having time to really do anything to you. The main thing is not to miss the moment.
