How to unlock the Samurai of Legend achievement in Nioh - Definitive Guide

Complete all Main Missions, Side Missions, Dojo training missions, and Twilight Missions. New Game+ missions (Way of the Strong difficulty) are not required. Side missions are unlocked automatically when you beat main missions. Some side missions are part of a quest line so you must beat the previous quest first. Only one side mission is hidden – after doing the mystic art dojo missions, you’ll get a new sub mission in Omi region in which you must kill some monsters and a Nue boss with an NPC friend.

Twilight Missions show up randomly on the left side of the world map. They have a red eye symbol. These missions change periodically, each day at 7AM CET / 6AM GMT / 1AM ET / 11PM PT. Twilight Missions that you already completed have a red checkmark when you scroll over them. These missions are very hard, so you may want to do them after finishing the story when you have access to divine items. The low-level ones you should do as soon as they become available, to reduce waiting times. You can check your progress by pressing Touchpad > Titles > Gameplay Record > Other > Mission achievement rate (%).

*There are reports of the trophy popping after only 6 Twilight Missions.

The two hardest missions are the end game side missions “A Meeting on the Other Shore” and “The Two Kings: Nioh”. Here you have to fight two bosses at the same time. There is a very easy trick however (nerfed by Patch 1.03)! Use Soulstones (via quick item slot) to power up your living weapon. When the living weapon runs out use 1-2 soulstones to power it up again and repeat. While the living weapon is active you cannot take any damage. So you are invincible, but also deal heavy elemental damage. Use the spear for AOE damage. Note - save all amrita soul stones for these two fights. You can farm amrita in many ways, but farming for amrita soul stones are a bit harder.

Note: As of Patch 1.06, new free missions have been added to the base game. These missions aren't required to complete to achieve this trophy. Also missions from any paid DLC are not required for this trophy as well.

Even with Living weapon duration being decreased in patch 1.06, the Extraction Talisman has been fixed appropriately. Now the talisman can increase the amount of living weapon life recovery for amrita gained, but at the cost of shorter duration. All that means is that you'll be micro-managing a lot more than before, cycling between the use of extraction talismans and soulstones. The Living Weapon Build is still very much possible if you invest a lot of prestige points into Living Weapon Duration and Durability.

Trophies are quite simple. The only difficulties may arise when completing the tasks “Two Kings: Nio” and “Meeting on the Other Shore”, where you need to kill two bosses at once. For successful completion, use the talisman of rejuvenation and the talisman of steel, which will briefly reduce damage to you and regenerate health, the talisman of laziness also helps a lot: it slows down the enemy for a short period of time (it is advisable to use it on a slower enemy)

To kill two samurai Nio, it is more effective to use the following tactics:
First, we take with us a bull as a guardian spirit, talismans of laziness, a talisman for reducing defense, a strength pill, a talisman for charging weapons with the elements (I used the wind), my favorite weapon (I used a katana), and a firearm.
We charge the weapon for any element (additional damage, allowing you to save time), eat a pill to increase strength and shoot the first one in the head (Muneshige, who is on the left). We immediately run to him (carefully so as not to be hit by a stone from the second one) and stick the weapon into him. After that, we run behind the stone and try to catch the moment when we can throw it at the big slowdown. After this, you can throw a slowdown at the second one and there - a talisman for reducing defense.
Now the simplest thing is to target the desired enemy (small) and use either instant talismans or a spirit summoning talisman. The bull runs and knocks down the enemy. You run up and stick your weapon into him. You run back, repeat. 4-5 times is enough to defeat one. The second one throws a talisman of laziness, a talisman for reducing defense, and also spams bull.
The main thing with this tactic is not to be in the attack zone of the second samurai when spamming the first.

Killing Oda Nobunaga and Nohime (Yukionna) is easier. The first step is to kill Nobunaga. It’s easier to drop him either with a shot to the head or with a bull ram. Then stick a katana charged with some element into it. I tested it in the air and on the ground - both carry out perfectly. And Yukionna has a weakness to fire.

Guardian spirit talisman, 9 pieces are required, both on two kings and on the other side - it works well. The important thing is that the assistant is a bird, Daiba is a washi, in my opinion, better than a bull.

Being lvl 117, I thought that passing two kings was impossible. I went and pumped up on NG+ to lvl 138, plus pumped up the bull keeper to lvl 30 (it’s not difficult on NG+), then returned to the regular game and smashed these bosses like regular mobs. He used only bull talismans to knock down the fastest one, and then use a finishing move; in the end he threw the talisman of laziness at the clumsy one and quickly smashed him, he didn’t even have time to understand what happened.
