The advice is, stock up on carbon and look for the alien.
The thing is that you can talk to one NPC until you’re blue in the face, but one dialogue costs 20 carbon.
Every other time, you can ask him to share a new word. As a result, the point of searching for Obelisks becomes just a waste of time))

Received it in 1.5 hours. I found the alien Corvax, after the conversation he gives 1 word. After a second conversation, which costs 20 carbon, you need to select the top line in the answer options, I usually lost fuel, for this choice they gave 79 carbon, which was spent on the next conversations. When talking again, I chose the word again. Etc. With such manipulations, I got 1 word and 39 carbons in 2 conversations. Approximately 1 word per minute.
The game version was 1.04.

Many words are found at the stations of the "Atlas Path" (shaped like a diamond in space)

After 450 learned words of the Huck race, he could not learn any new words. When trying to learn a new word, the message “nothing new learned” appears. At the moment I have learned 700+ words of all races. If you count all three races, plus the Atlas language, you get 1800 words. I’ll try to finish with the other races as soon as possible, but the Atlas language is much more difficult, he only learns in Monoliths, and there aren’t that many of them.

I found an even cooler way to learn both words and devices in a multitool. The freebie is complete. It works exactly in the disk version.
We need to find an Atlas station (where they give about 5-6 words at a time, 1 device and 2 warp cells), then after collecting all the words available in the area, we climb onto the plane and climb out. The game will automatically save everything. Immediately close the game completely and reload it. After downloading, all words can be reopened. It's a pity I found out about this when I had 15 words left. The trophy was completed in 3 minutes.

Version 1.13 the hint about 20 carbon is no longer relevant, now the aliens do not teach words.
But at almost every station, shelter or factory on the planet there is a building (there is also a small smoking capsule with nanites nearby), inside such a compartment there is almost always a blue sphere on the wall from which you can learn 1 word.
We also learn words from black columns, obelisks and Atlas interfaces.

Patch 2.30+

Now words are given for free (no carbon needed)
Every alien you meet at the station or trading platform will share it with you.
But you can get more than 1 word from 1 alien (if you’re not lazy)
To do this, having already studied a couple of words, you can talk with the alien, select the “Train linguistic skills” option and select the word you have already learned there. The aliens’ reactions are always different and I didn’t notice any pattern; sometimes they give nanites or money, and sometimes they teach me another word.

I will also note that new aliens often appear at previously visited stations, so it is not necessary to always visit new ones; you can fly through the teleport at the base to already visited ones
