This is for having 250,000 Units (money) at the same time. It is NOT cumulative.

Buy a scanner for your multi tool and it can easily be earned while scanning flora and fauna.

The trophy is buggy and may not drop even if you have higher-level counterparts -
The Space Merchants (Silver) and The Diamond Age (Gold). You can cure it by starting the game again.
