How to unlock the Steady Hand achievement in Noir Chronicles: City of Crime - Definitive Guide

This is pretty straightforward. You just have to finish a puzzle with no mistakes. I did have some issues getting it.

Found this on steamcommunity.com. It worked.

"I was able to unlock the achievement, but only on a puzzle where all hidden objects were listed in green at the start. Apparently the game counts extra actions, which most HO puzzles require, as mistakes. There's a nice HO scene at the beginning of the bonus adventure that works well for the achievement. "

The achievement didn't unlock the first time I completed the suggested puzzle so I continued through the next few comments on your link and read where people believe that it is 3 puzzles in a row with no mistakes. I restarted the bonus chapter and did that puzzle again and it popped. Thanks for the link!

This is the only achievement that didn't unlock for me and I know I did a minimum of 3 without making a mistake

The one in the bonus chapter worked for me as well. The first tike I used hints but the 2nd try did without hints and popped the achievement. Thanks. So the hints will void achievement as well btw.

Expert on the first HOP in the bonus level and it worked. Same items every time.

Glitchy crap, can't believe that pausing a game can make it glitch, that's beyond stupid & why do you to do several puzzles to get it when every other one of these is 1 roll also the accuracy required to pick some the items is too crappy, don't know how many times I've clicked on a item & gotten a mistake because the item weren't exactly in the middle facepalm

Did the Bonus Level on Expert using no hints. Not sure which part of that may have helped. Took me 2-3 times. Also don't pause it.

This is probably the toughest achievement in the game but only because sometimes you'll think you're on an item but the game doesn't register you as being over it and counts it as a mistake. You have two options for getting this achievement:

  1. Take the HOP slow and only click on an object when you're sure it's the object you're looking for.
  2. Click on all but one object in the HOP with as many mistakes as you want. Once you've found every item, quit the game app (do NOT quit to the main menu or your game will save) and then reload the game. You'll be before the HOP. Now find all the items again but now that you know where they all are, you should easily be able to do it without a mistake. Note this only works for the HOPs where the items are fixed and not randomized. If the objects are listed as words along the bottom of the screen, it's a randomized one. The ones with the object silhouettes are not randomized and will be the same every time.

Glitchy trophy. Reinstalling the game and saves didn't help. In addition At the very beginning of the story, I completed the search for objects without errors. Came out and started again. history, went through the first search again and already then the trophy was counted

As for without prompts, this is understandable, but as for quickly, it’s unlikely (since I got it under pressure, but a strong hand didn’t fall out). I didn’t delete the game, I just deleted the saves from the system. The trophy came out after I first attached the sail to the boat and completed the yin and yang with a pencil, after which I began collecting all the items including the sailboat and the yin and yang. I hope the hint helps.

The trophy is NOT glitchy, I got it the first time on the first scene, during the tutorial. The trick is that you not only need to take objects without missing a beat, but also quickly and without prompting.
