The achievement descriptions are a bit cryptic. This is for beating the boss of the first floor.
The boss is a flying skull that will bounce around the screen, move to the center and release 4 insects. This pattern will repeat over and over. The recommended strategy is to stand almost directly below him before he lunges. This should create an angle that makes him bounce straight up and down (or close to straight). This will make him very easy to avoid. When he sets up in the center, Jump on the platform on the left of the screen and start jumping and firing. He will release some bugs (4 of them). You should have a few seconds to kill most, if not all of these.
Very important: Even if there is still a bug or two on screen, be sure to get underneath the boss before he launches to keep his predictable flight path. Then kill the remaining bugs as needed. You will probably take a few hits (especially the first few times you face him), but the bugs will replenish a little bit of health each time you kill one.
Now, you can use weapons you collected to kill him faster (when his brain is exposed, he takes even more damage), but for the sake of achievements, we want to stick to the default gun.
