In addition to the solution by PXAbstraction, if you carry the recording of Bruce's father in Act 2 (during the mall segment when you first get the voice recording app) all the way to when you meet Bruce at the Ark in Act 3 and play it for him, it will convince him to go home and the cheevo will pop.

In Act 3, when you find Bruce in the shipping container, give him Monkey, which you would have picked up getting the Wet Monkey achievement. That will pop the Mister Monkey Man achievement. Shortly after in the conversation, Bruce will realize he should go home. That will pop this achievement.
