How to unlock the Voxel runner achievement in >observer_ - Definitive Guide

Throughout the game you will be syncing into peoples memories, eventually in the story you will have the option of syncing into a severed heads memories, do this. This will lead to three arcade style minigames, this achievement can be difficult but there is a trick to easily getting it.

The first game will involve dodging falling blocks from above, for the trick, once you dodge the first one look downward and sprint around the room, I was able to survive much longer while doing this. You will be able to be hit twice before being sent to the next minigame, I managed to get to 2000 points before I was. The second minigame will have you avoiding traps at high speeds and using your analog stick to dodge left and right. Once again if you get hit twice you will be sent to the next minigame, however if you reach the third game and still don't have 3000 points, go ahead and quit to the main menu and reload as you can't earn points on the final game and aren't able to replay the games after.

EDIT:If you are having trouble, here is a video of someone else doing the trick,

Unfortunately, this does not work. Unless you get really lucky. Every time I try this, I can't get past 60 points. The best bet is to look up so you can see the blocks and try your best to dodge. This is entirely luck based. Been at this for 4 hours, and debating whether it's even worth the time.

I wasn't getting this until I watched the video. The key for me was to not sprint around the room, and walk around normally as in the video.

^^^^^^this!!!!! Way easier looking up and running in circles. You have a chance to step away in case you get stuck around the room (which was happening for me when I was just running around looking normally).

worked. but a suggestion to others. i focused on two corners more than making a circle. kind of an ob longed oval and when i hit around 2k i started turning everytime the screen shook, even if i wasn't in the corner( corners i turned quick, the rest of the way it was little turns mainly straight shots). i didnt run, i got 3k before the second part with lazers , blades n flame throwers. took 10 tries, if not more. annoying but doable.

OK, so I almost did this on my first try before xbox signed me out randomly. I had 2680 points and found that the absolute best method is the get more speed by clicking to run and then sorta side step at the running speed. Most people are getting caught on the blocks that drop a little quicker. May be worth adding this as a tip to the solution as I've tested this multiple times now with success of 3000+ points without losing any health.

The weirdness is too much... but I finally got 2g by using the first look down run around method... then pause and observe obstacles to plan your route in the second section.

Thanks for the video and tips. I can’t even begin to describe how stupid and pointless this achievement is.

Only took a few tries, but man this is such a whack achievement. The room/furniture constantly blowing up coupled with the ever present screen shake is so disorienting. Good tip on just looking down.

Are you sure you're doing it correctly? You need to run around the entire room in circles, not spin in place. Here is video of someone else doing it, https://youtu.be/Iro4RIH87Y8

I found it much easyer to look up to the blocks and then run in a circle.
I got over 6000 points with that method.
But thx for the guide

I have to assume this is one of those "find the strat that works best for you" situations. I was eating shit until I started sprinting tight circles while looking up. Once I started doing that, knocked it out in the first stage on the second try. Stupid, silly, and pointless achievement. Thanks, though, for all the tips from everyone!!

I got the majority of my points on the second minigame.(around 2.5k) Just pause and unpause with the menu button. That way you have plenty of time to see what is ahead and adjust your route. Try and stay in the middle, as the spike walls that occupy 2 squares are almost impossible to avoid when they are on the same side as you are.

I gotta say that the Steam version video shouldn't be in this solution. Using a keyboard and mouse + much higher frame rates doesn't apply on Xbox versions, as they struggle to make 30 FPS. Frame rates affect movement speed.

Countering the tip about walking rather than sprinting, I spent an hour and a half straight going for this with walking and never got more than 800 in the first stage, which wasn't enough to get the required points in the second stage. I decided to try sprinting and got over 3000 in the first segment alone, probably a lot of that was due to my "practice" time put in, but for me, using the run function was a game changer.

Sprinting between the corners of the room while looking up got most of the points for me then pause/unpausing the second trap made up the rest. My thumb hurts now.

Where is this terminal at? Think I screwed up by not hacking the head?

There is no terminal. It's inside of the head when you hack it.
