Is there a point in game you can switch out your party leader? I started with Thorné so not sure when that option opens up.

Yes! Once you finish her chapter 4 of your protagonist you can change.The others can be changed at any time

This achievement can be accomplished by having a party of Partito (Hire), Ochette (Befriend), Temenos (Guide), and Agnea (Allure) and then using their path abilities to bring four followers with you.
