How to unlock the Eagle-Eyed achievement in OCTOPATH TRAVELER - Definitive Guide

The checklist I was following was missing this one hidden item so hopefully this helps someone:

In Victors Hollow: Arena Gate there is a hidden man to the right of the arena hidden in the little grove of trees and against the fence. Scrutinize/Inquire for a hidden item.

Edit - Here's the spreadsheet of the checklist I used for all the achievements (quests, enemy weaknesses, hidden items, chests, etc). Its only missing the one hidden item I listed above which isn't missable, credit to marcv666 on Steam for this:

Steam guide post where I got the spreadsheet from:

I missed the one between Olb Chap 3 and 4. Wondering if this will pop if I get that item on a different save.

91 hours in and realized that the guide I was using didn't have Lord Cieran's Herald on it which is missable during H'aanit's Chapter 1 in S'warkii... It's very upsetting that even with all of the sources and guides out for this game, there's still nothing really solid. Here's to hoping that I can just hit new game and get that 1 item near the start. It's really going to be a drag if i have to start a whole new game just for 1 achievement...

Ouch. I just edited my post to include the checklist I used for everything, it points out all the missables.

I also missed "Lord Cieran" during H'aanit's first chapter but my achivment unlocked when finding my second to last hidden item (last being Lord Cieran). I also read a post on Steam that this one ain't needed for the achievement. But if you want to be safe I suggest grabing it. Just don't start as H'aanit or do her first chapter before getting Therion or Alfyn.

Thx, @Rier. I can verify and confirm that you do not need the hidden item from Lord Cieran (H'aanit chapter 1). I found 2 hidden items that I forgot to collect earlier and got the achievement without ever getting Lord Cieran's.

Thanks for the info about the Lord Cieran's Herald item...40 hours in, taking my time leveling up, following marcv666's amazing spreadsheet...aaaaand I still missed it!!! I honestly hate stuff like that in games...almost rage quit the game...just came off finishing Dragon Quest XI and as quaint and indie-like as Octopath is, it does not hold a candle to DQ11...the graphics alone look brutal on a 65" TV!! Glad to report that the achievement popped when I hit 151/152.

I've found out there is another hidden item that is missable, but doesn't count towards the achievement. It's an 'Inspiriting Plum (M)' that you can get in the 'Trail to the Whitewood' area, the person to inquire/scrutinize is only available during the 'Arianne again I' questline. So it can be missed, but doesn't count for the achievent. :)

Glad I could help! I figured a lot of people were using the same guide and wanted to help prevent the frustration I had as well during this.

Pay Attention to the Radar. ! means, a Hidden Item. These are only in settlements, never in the wild. Good Luck!

There are 152 hidden objects.
To find the hidden objects you will need the Scrutinize / Inquire skill of the Cyrus / Alfyn characters.
To grab some of these items you will also need the Challenge / Provoke skill of the Olberic / H'aanit characters.
All objects are in the vicinity of major cities, and few of them can be missed.

To find out which hidden objects you can lose, you can follow the Marcv666 guide.
Marcv666's guide gives a chronological order on which hidden objects you can lose, all the others can be recovered after the game is over without any problem.
Marcv666 Guide: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=17962...

The spreadsheet below lists all the places, but doesn't mark which ones you can miss

As already specified, I did not create the guides but I used them both to obtain the Achievement
English is not my language, if any passage of the guide is not clear, write to me and I will correct any errors

Warning: There are six missable items for this achievement. Be sure to take note of these listed in the Road Map.

Hidden items in this game are acquired by first using the Scrutinize/Inquire skills with Cyrus/Alfyn on every NPC you come across. Many will have hidden info that will cause an item to appear as a sparkle somewhere nearby, usually in the open or inside a building. These will display on the mini-map as well. The Neoseeker walkthrough mentions all of the NPCs you should talk to, and make special note to highlight the missables as well.
