How to unlock the Millionaire achievement in OCTOPATH TRAVELER - Definitive Guide

This will come naturally through progression. Mine unlocked when i was halfway through doing the chapter 4's. I did not boost this at all or sell any items.

You DO NOT have to have the total ammount on you at once, it is just culmative on your save.

If you wish to get it quicker there are skills and items to aid you, specifically the merchants but again you dont need to worry about it.

Honestly I'm not sure if selling items counts towards this achievement. I tested it out by selling my entire inventory. Hit well over 1mil and it didn't pop the achievement at all. It might only be counted through battle wins and maybe what you find in chests?

There is no rush for this if going for a 100% completion. As I stated I DID NOT sell a single item and it unlocked well in advance of finishing all the chapter 4's
I would not advise selling anything as there are achievements for collecting every item and this will help with finding any you may have missed

For me it popped at $819,700 so it is a culminative value.

I haven't sold anything but I've been buying Health potions. I haven't started any Chapter 4 missions, I still have one Chapter 3 left.

I have over 1,000,000 in my inventory right now and this achievement isn't unlocking for me. I've tried zoning in and out, fought some battles, even reset my console. I think there must be something up server side.

This achievement is cumulative, but only counts money that is earned through chests and battle rewards. Selling items does not increase this count. This should come naturally as you get ready for the final end-game dungeon. Leveling every to nearly 70+ will reward you with a ton of money.
