When I completed the game, I was at about 56% of this achievement.
To boost the rest, I highly recommend loading up level 4-2, jump over the pit with the red enemies, and move to the right. There is a vertical yellow laser moving back and forth. Move under the bottom right platform, which is right above your head. Now just rapidly spam the A button for jumps to count super quickly. This is much quicker than doing natural jumping.
