How to unlock the Recycling is a concept. achievement in OMORI - Definitive Guide

This is available during both routes. To get all rewards, you need to put 50 pieces of JUNK (cans, cardboard, dead batteries, computer parts, etc.) into the RECYCLING MACHINE. You can find 10-15 JUNK in the JUNKYARD, but to get more, you need to enter battles in the JUNKYARD, and use KEL's ability to scavenge. He may find a CAN, a Cherry Soda, chocolate, tofu, a rubber band or nothing at all. You can also try to find SHADOW DOG in the easternmost part of VAST FOREST. You need to re-enter if you don't find him. After petting, he can give you an item, either a can, a rubber band, a sparkler, Life Jam, a hot dog or a cherry soda. This is an annoying achievement, but good luck to anyone who tries!

Rewards: SEER GOGGLES (DEF +1, LCK +3, +200% HIT RATE) - 5 items
FLASHLIGHT (DEF +4) - 10 items
CELLPHONE (DEF +10) - 25 items
UNIVERSAL REMOTE (HEART +10, JUICE +10, ATK +5, DEF +5, SPD +5, LCK +5) - 50 items

If you are farming at the Junkyard, don't run from the battles because you will occasionally pick up Dead Batteries from the fight, which is a recyclable item.

I recommend leaving this achievement until the end of Two Days Left in Headspace as you will pick up more recyclable material in the Last Resort construction area, inside Humphrey, and from Glasses Ghost at the ghost party. Farming at the Junkyard is better than with the Shadow Dog because you can ping pong between two or more enemies in the same area. I still needed 14 items but it took running from only about 50 battles to get them which was much better than the average 12.5% drop rate (the OMORI wiki claims that Nothing comes up 3/8 of the time and everything else is 1/8. They are a pretty thorough group over there so I believe it.)
