When you start the game you will do a training like level and play as Luffy. Just do as the game tells you to do and use the following for your special attacks - every time they refill, just use them again on the enemies around you.

Special skills are the unique abilities mapped to R1 + symbols, set through the Pre-Battle screen based on what you have access to. The power is built up through hitting things that are still active/alive, so keeping a hit combo going on corpses will not generate more power. As you build up the power, you'll hear a small chime from the ability or abilities reaching their full potential and becoming available. After that, you have to hold the R1 button and press the appropriate button to trigger the ability. Some abilities can be used in the air, though most will require you to be on the ground. Find whatever works best for you and make sure you use your skills often in a single battle to unlock this trophy.

Special skills are unique attacks possessed by each character that can deal large damage, clear out large amounts of enemies, or perform a unique action. All characters start with 4 special skills which are used by holding then pressing a face button such as . When you use a special skill it needs to recharge over time by defeating enemies. Considering you have 4, just cycle through them while beating enemies to recharge them as necessary. You will definitely earn this naturally unless you are avoiding special skills on purpose.
