To get this one you need to upgrade a skill to max.
You can find skills and other upgrades by selecting a mission, then select you character. When you get to the "Prepare For Departure" screen click on "Growth Map" then find a skill you wish to unlock and spend coins and berries to upgrade it to level 3 to max it.
You will have to buy a few islands first to get to a skill they have a Star over the island for skill.

Skills will refer to the actual skills, not special abilities, that are obtained in the Growth Chart. You can tell what these are by finding them as the bronzed sun icons. There are quite a few on the Beginnings map, as well as at least one in most of the characters' specific maps too. Simply level a skill up to their maximum capacity to obtain this trophy.
Early on, I'd suggest just focusing on clearing all of the Beginnings map, since you need this for another trophy anyway. Otherwise, if you get far enough, Brothers' Sake Cup from Sabo's Map would be beneficial, as would Cat Burglar from Nami's Map. BSC increases the amount of Crew Experience you obtain at the end of an episode, while CB increases the amount of Berries by an insignificant amount.

Skills are found in the Beginner Growth Map and characters' Growth Map 1. They are represented by a Sun-looking icon (ball with 8 spikes). For this trophy, you only need to max out a single skill. Simply buy all 3 levels of any skill to earn this. You'll know the skill is maxed out when the icon turns gold and has a crown above it.
