After getting the decorative sword and going through the east gate, you will eventually reach an area where a lake laps onto the path. In the water are some orange carp. After killing the demons, step into the water and hold B. After 30 seconds, the fish will release their souls.

After you can get through the east gate, you’ll find a path next to a lake. Stand in the water and hold circle until you absorb souls from a carp.

This achievement is for absorbing a yellow soul from the group of carp fish found in the east area.

Once you have access to the "East Area" you will have to advance through a large tower which requires a lvl 3 green gem in order to enter and exit. Once you exit this tower you will be on the bank of a small pond walk to the edge to find a small group of carp swimming. Hold your absorb button down for about 15 - 30 seconds and a yellow soul will emerge granting you the achievement.

MISSABLE

With Samanosuke, while on the West area, go past the big tower, before the waterfall. There, you will find a lake with some carp. Keep pressing the absorb button close to the water till you unlock the trophy.
