Once you've learned to absorb orbs you can spend them at various magic mirrors located throughout the game. These allow you to save your progress and enhance your equipment.
The first magic mirror appears just before you learn how to absorb orbs. I'd personally wait until the next mirror, which is at the end of the forest, just after you obtain the Shiden.
In front of the mirror hit
, select 'Enhance', choose a piece if equipment to level up and hold The achievement pops as soon as you press the button.

Once you get your first Orb, which is the blue one, you can enhance either the Orb(To Open more door) or the Sword( Damage boost) on the Mirrors that ypu use to save your progress.

This is pretty simple trophy and necessary to progress so It's story-related as well. The game has several "Magic Mirror" items, which are a wooden structure where you save and enhance your equipment. Just choose Enhance and as soon as anything you held reaches Level 2, the trophy will pop.
