How to unlock the Perfect Snow Blitz! achievement in Open Season - Definitive Guide
The key to this level is DYING. Once you start a "section", immediately take off two of your health bars by hitting stuff. Then, once you get near the end of one of those sections (before the checkpoint), die and go back through it again, timing your jumps differently. (if you jumped early last time, jump late this time)
The reason this works is that there are redundant points in this level, so if you go through each section a couple times, you'll get those points which will help you make up for any you may miss on the harder parts.
Using this method, I was able to get 520/500 by the end.

Was this replaying the level? Because then you don't get the 5 points for picking up each badge. Is that where the spare 20 comes from?

This is a video of Veneficus489 getting all wild points. I did not record this video Veneficus489 did. All credit goes to Veneficus489
You must time your jumps right in order to obtain all points and if u miss a jump by jumping over a section with points on it or by missing a section with points then you must restart from a checkpoint or the entire level.

I agree about hitting all the jumps and with both solutions but just wanted to add to them.
It took me a long time to realize that the points mostly come from hitting all the ramps and ledges. In my experience, you can't miss any at all or you won't have enough points at the end. I did it all in one go without repeating a section, but I played the level quite a few times.
There are some random 5 pointers that come in the first section from passing rocks and the second section for jumping logs, but I don't think you can miss those. Just make sure to hit every ledge and ramp and you should get enough. I ended up with 5 extra points at the end! Hope this helps.

Edit: Looks like the video is no longer available. I'll leave the description for reference, but sorry for the inconvenience. It wasn't my video so it's out of my hands.

Here is a higher resolution youtube video of a perfect run. Credit to youtube user Supernintendan. Remember, at the start of each section, or after restarting a checkpoint, it's a good idea to purposely hit one or two obstacles, so it's easier to die on purpose if you miss a jump. It's also not a bad idea to die on purpose after each of the ledge jumping sections, as I've found that it's very hard to pick up all the points in one run. Often, on a second run, you can pick up one or two more 5-pointers that you missed the first time, which can make or break getting 500 total by the end. Good luck!

Thanks for posting the video really helped me know how many points I should have by each area of the level - I was actually 10 ahead at the end of the first 1/3rd but just scrapped 505 by the end. Quite glad I'm done with this game!

I've purposely died on a few checkpoints numerous times and I have at least got an additional 20-30 points, which are the crucial points to bring my total to 505. Nonetheless finally got it out of the way.
