Before starting a mission, go to the class setup screen and customize a weapon. As you grow in level, more items will be unlocked.

In the main menu CLASS SETUP , then go to any column ( MOD1 or MOD2 ), change equipment with the left stick (d-pad) up or down. Press the A button to apply the changed settings and the achievement will open.
