Haven't been able to confirm this on One Life mode yet (Update 12/23/20: this DOES NOT work on One Life mode)

If you need to, you can also return to you backup saves from the main menu.

So, just to be clear. If you do die, just exit to main menu & then jump back into the game save before the death & you'll be all good? If so that's a load off my mind. I was worried about how I'd be able to do this, even on easy, considering I always have at least one damn accidental environmental death no matter what smh

Yes, you have to get back to the main menu before the death animation finishes and respawns you. Its like a 2 second window but you'll get it down the more you go on, and it can get tedious

ComicKaze23 Quitting out quickly does seem to work on easy mode. I was using this method to unlock Immortal, and as long as your death counter says 0 when you reload you're good to go. Obviously keep some back-up saves just-in-case.

This game... So far, I'm playing on Easy and I've died over 290 times so far... God... Probably gonna die over 2000 times before I finish the game, if I even manage to finish this bloody overrated game. Not my cup of tea... :-(
