How to unlock the Close call achievement in Ori and the Blind Forest - Definitive Guide
Below are my video solutions for climbing the flooding Ginso tree in Ori and the Blind Forest. It took me quite a few tries because I didn't know what to expect in each section. Hopefully this guide makes it easier for you. There's barely room for error--I made two small mistakes and the second almost cost me the run.
While the first guide I made was the fastest on TA, I didn't pick up the experience clusters. I've now added a second guide where I pick up all the clusters and finish the run 5 seconds earlier than my previous attempt, but I don't recommend attempting that second video unless you're very comfortable with the controls.
Please ask questions in the comments section--I'm on TA frequently and I respond to all inquiries, as well as give credit to anyone else who contributes.
Here is the simpler run where I don't pick up the clusters:

Thanks. I managed to get all four clusters of exp. points. Need to make full use of all possible enemy projectiles and the enemies themselves to use Bash in order to get enough time and kinetic energy for those exp. points plus escaping.

This section involves a lot of timing and moving quickly. You won't be able to save in between, so you have to start over everytime you die.
The ability cells during this section are not needed for any achievements as far as i know. Since you can farm them on enemies you can get all ability related achievements. .
Knowing the enemies and projectiles you have to use with your bash is key to getting to the top. especially near the end, where missing a bash mostly means starting over.
Solution is memorize the route and get it right every time, one misstep and its over. You have to be comfortable with double jump and the bash to have any hope of getting this one. They really should call this one "Bleeding Thumbs"
It takes 1 minute to go outside of the tree. Use your last ability to jump higher.
Here's a lot of different ways you can do this by wall jumping and dashing, but here's a video of how I did it:
