How to unlock the Master of the Forest achievement in Ori and the Blind Forest - Definitive Guide

Just a heads up. Less of a guide more of a warning. Once you complete the final chase after restoring the warmth at Mount Horu, you can no longer play on that save. I learned this the hard way. You must visit all of the map, and get each area to 100% on the map screen BEFORE completing the game. YOU CANNOT CONTINUE THE GAME ONCE COMPLETED.
Another thing, the Forlorn Ruins will become inaccessible after completing the chase sequence there. So make sure you explore the whole area before restoring the wind.
Hopefully this helps a bit! I know it's not really a guide, so negative comments/likes etc are ok. I'm purely doing this as a Public Service Announcement.

EDIT: Thanks to k1r1llka and ImaginaryRuins for adding that the Ginso Tree will also become inaccessible after restoring the Water.

I'm stuck at 99% in Moon Grotto. I got all skills and looted all there. Still can't get 100%. It seems This was a bug. Dark spot at the botom is place that must be explored too, i already explored there, but for some reason it was darkened again and second laser there was engaged (you turn it off during your fist visit there) so you can't get down anymore.
These images are not mine, but the problem is the same:

On Steam, a guy had the same problem, and He fix it with a debug mode with teleport. On Xbox isn't possible. How can I fix it?

Thanks for the warning. Like k1r1llka said, you may want to add that Ginso Tree also becomes inaccessible after restoring the water core.

This achievement sucks, stuck on 99% in 3 areas of which one is Ginso tree and I'm at 50% total completion. I'll just let it slip this playthrough

@Loadme Tacos, I'm stuck like you on the 99% bug. This achievement should be marked as bugged. PC people can enter on debug mode but not us, so it really sucks.

Ahhhh!!! I wish I saw your comment sooner. I thought that I was good to go to the ending sequence, but was 1% short on Hollow Grove. Welp, no achievement for me I guess.

**This is a work in progress**

I just started my second playthrough and will update with screens of each area. Until then here is the full map (in russian, was all I could find).

All Dungeons (areas where you have to escape very quickly) are inaccessible after you escape, so make sure to search all of the area thoroughly before moving on.

Ginso Tree, Forlorn Ruins, and Misty Woods all need to be 100% before moving on to the next area.

I am putting this up quickly for people who would like to use a map, I understand this is not complete but please bear with me a few days while I complete this solution.

I think you should add that you just need to explore the whole map to 100% only and that collectibles don't count towards this achievement. I missed a few spirit containers in Ginso tree personally. But managed to still get the achievement at the end. Otherwise, nice guide so far.

Thank you. Will update when I get home. Put it down for the last week but will get back to work on this. In the middle of my no deaths run. Frustrating lol.

Just a heads-up about Ginso Tree, I had 82% before the water releases and you can't go back, and was able to attain 100% after escaping.

When at the map screen, the total % under each area's name is how much of the map you have uncovered. Secret areas (for "No stone unturned") and any collectibles do not count toward this percentage, so don't get confused and not return to an area that shows 100% if you're still missing some secrets or collectibles later in the game. Make sure you have 100% in every area before entering Mount Horu, as you will not be able to return. Again, be careful in the Ginso Tree, Misty Woods, Forlorn Ruins, and Mount Horu - all these locations are only available once.

You need to visit the entire map so that there are no uncolored places left.

IMPORTANT! Even a slightly faded area of the map or trail may be considered unexplored, so look carefully at the percentages for a given location.
IMPORTANT 2! Locations Ginzo Tree, Forlorn Ruins and Mount Horu are IMPOSSIBLE to return! So explore them in a timely manner and look for all the secret places, check the map to know how many percent you have explored them... And best of all, make a backup copy of your save before entering each of these locations. To do this, in the main menu, click start game, select the desired save, click and copy it into a free cell.

IMPORTANT 3! Some places cannot be reached until you get the last ability. Therefore, if you are missing percentages, after getting the last ability it is worth looking even at those places you have already been to.

Not the most difficult achievement due to the adequately made map for this type of game, in addition, you can open fragments of the map by finding special fragments and restoring them in certain places. And besides, in the map mode it is shown as a percentage how much a particular location has been explored .
