How to unlock the Did I Do That? achievement in Ori and the Will of the Wisps - Definitive Guide

This is not a difficult achievement, and will almost certainly come naturally during the game.

If you want to check it off ASAP though just to get it out of the way:

The easiest way to kill enemies by indirect means is to hit them into thorns or purple water. Very early on you'll collect your first proper weapon, and once you have it you can assign it to an attack button. I recommend cn_X.

You'll see a lot of these horrible little pink slugs crawling around the place as you play through the opening sections. Walk up to one which is quite near thorns / purple water, and press cn_up+cn_X to launch them skyward. You can then immediately jump and hit them again to bat them across the screen a little way.

All of these enemies respawn over time, so don't worry about missing too much.

There are a few which are climbing up and down walls with thorns beneath them. They make an easy target! One upwards strike will knock them off the wall and hopefully to their death.

The achievement tracker keeps an accurate record of this.

Hey guys, I don't know if my game got bugged or something, but I can't get this one achievement working, got all of them already. I don't know if this was patched, but, according to XboX achievements, there is stated: ''Anything in the environment that damages Ori upon direct contact is considered an environmental hazard, which includes thorns, spikes, decayed surface (purple in colour), and traps. Water is fatal to land and flying enemies, while air is deadly to aggressive fish in the water.

The goal is to either actively send an enemy to any of the above hazard by using Ori's offensive abilities, or passively wait in front of a hazard and lure the enemy to attack so that it hits the hazard and kills itself. It should be noted that this has to be done on 10 different enemies; the rinse-and-repeat method does not work.''

So if this is true, this will become of one of those harder achievements, no grinding allowed... I am playing on PC with PC Game Pass, anybody encountered such problem?

This is easy as it gets. Comes naturally or done very early in the game if you are actually going out of your way to do it. I got it done effortlessly after meeting the second ability vendor when you go into the mouth of a rocky giant face.
Do not bother reading the long comment above, it's gibberish.

Just try to throw enemies onto the thorns. It's good to push purple clumps off the edge.

Once you get the Impulse, getting the achievement will not be a problem. We grab any jumping/flying creature and put it on its spikes, since there are always plenty of spikes around. And at a difficult level, this is also a quick way to kill, it’s easier to throw it on the spikes than to hit it with a stick many times.

There is a place at the beginning of the game where large brick platforms fall from above... there are 5 of them in a row, and a couple of mosquitoes fly a little to the right... drive them under the platform and you're done!!!
