This achievement requires buying and upgrading five skills from Opher in Wellspring Glades.
The base skills cost 400 spirit light each and the upgrades cost 1200 spirit light each (on Normal- these prices are halved on Easy and doubled on Hard).
The skills are Sentry, Spirit Star, Blaze, Spirit Smash, and Spike.
Edit: the farming method has apparently been patched.
I found the best farming spot (here's a GIF) to be just outside the right exit of Wellspring Glades. Use Spirit Smash on the purple projectile enemy which respawns immediately and drops an increasing amount of Spirit Light (it built up over time for me) when you use the Bounty and Light Harvest shards (edit: and, of course, shards to add damage so you kill the enemy faster).

I am currently working on this achievement. That being said I like your method, but I have done a few things different to try to maximize spirit light gained vs time spent.
I did use Bounty and Light Harvest shards but would also encourage people to use these other four shards along with those two. Reckless (deal more damage), Lifeforce (deal more damage), Finesse (chance to deal more damage), and Spirit Surge (deal more damage based on how much Spirit Light you have maxed out at 6000).
Using these (I still do not have them fully upgraded) I can kill the purple guy with 3-4 hits gaining 20 Spirit Light. My thoughts are as I get closer to 6000 Spirit Light, I might be able to kill the guy with one hit. can let you know as I go.

Doesn’t work anymore as it’s been patched, Killing the same enemy over and over only gets you 16 orbs, the odd few times you’ll get 30 if your lucky.

I think the best solution to farm orbs is this:
Go upward and left from Baur.
When your arrive in the most left part you will find a bee hive spawning bees like Crazy. ALL you need to do ia keeping killing them. I Took like 10 minutes killing to farm 1500 orbs. I needed 4800 do buy the last three habilities in normal mode. It takes a little but if you let this achievement for the end of the game, you will have a lot of orbs already and can buy the others habilities with no problem.
Note: Be sure to be in "Winter mode"in Baur's Reach. Only when winter this tip Works (If not, go upward and left from Baur go up and use the feather to put out the fire, then teleport to the most near teleport point and back. Some times the bee hive glitchs and not spawn. Teleport again and Go back there, it should be enough).
Note1: if you are not searching for shardless achievement Id recommend use some of them to speed your kills. Like the shard that speeds up enemy respawn, the one that makes orbs fly to you and the shard that makes orbs Double.
