How to unlock the Savior achievement in Othercide - Definitive Guide

This achievement is the same as the following, the ending choice you make just differs:

OthercideThe End Justify The MeansThe The End Justify The Means achievement in Othercide worth 23 pointsSacrifice a Bright Soul

To save a Bright Soul you must first rescue a Bright Soul. Bright Souls are Daughters that have not yet been Germinated and stolen by the enetmy, but not yet corrupted. This happens during the aptly named Rescue missions.

Rescue missions are pretty rare. In the early eras (weeks) I’ve only seen one every 2-3 weeks. They’re also the hardest missions and very easy to fail. You will have to decide whether you want to risk your best Daughters on the Rescue, where I’m pretty sure failure means you lose them all, or Germinate some fresh Daughters and send them so you can make liberal use of your Interrupts and burn the HP.

The Rescue missions I’ve encountered all allowed 4 Daughters. I always go with a Shield Bearer, a Blademaster, and two Soulslingers (because Interrupting Shot and Shadow Round do so much work). They’re like a Escape mission but the escape zone is immediately visible and available, you just can’t go there right away.

You’ll also control a Bright Soul, which is crazy fragile, kind of slow, and only has the Escape ability. If she dies, you lose, period.

I can’t predict which map you’ll get, I always get the same one but there are likely various ones. You’ll spawn with a lot of enemies, usually some very close behind you and many more between you and the exit. Make liberal use of anything you need to to protect the Bright Soul, I move her into a corner and surround her with my Daughters, I use 1-2 Daughters to burn down everything behind me, go into Burst and put up Interrupting Shot and Shadow Round.

Wait for enemies to come to you until there’s only enemies that don’t advance left.

Now here’s the trick, new spawns are triggered off your advance. So park everyone but one Daughter with the Bright Soul, move up and trigger the next spawns. If that Daughter cannot solo them, move back and kill them.

Keep doing this, there seem to be 5-6 lines you cross that trigger new ones, so don’t chase Larva or Infected down the field. The final trigger is right next to the escape zone and spawns in the escape zone.

Once you feel comfortable you can optionally send two Daughters downfield just be aware that new enemies do get triggered to spawn back near where you started and where you’re hiding with the Bright Soul.

When you finally move a Daughter into the Escape zone and nothing spawns go ahead and move everyone up. Leave with the Bright Soul first, I’m not sure if this matters but you probably just spent 45 minutes, why mess it up now?

As soon as you make it back to your main screen you’ll have the option to Sacrifice or Release the Bright Soul. Sacrificing grants a valuable Resurrection Token so will likely be your preferred choice, however for this achievement you must choose to Release the Bright Soul.

In the synapse I came across on the 11th day, the “save” type of battle, you will be given control of an additional character “Bright Soul” with low HP, who can only move, you need to lead her to the evacuation zone so that she is not killed, After the end of the battle there will be a choice - Free- or -Sacrifice- your soul will be offered various rewards in return.

Accordingly, for every choice you make your trophy.

Once freed, they will give you Vitae as a reward. (taking into account such a reward, it is better for the trophy to throw the save into the cloud before the battle, receive the trophy and load back, for sacrificing the soul they give resurrection, which is much more valuable)
