Cooking involves the Macrowave. You can put a pumpkin or alien in, and get delicious food. Pumpkins turn into salad, which can be eaten twice to restore hunger.

In this case, you simply should never use the Macrowave. If you find one in a box, simply recycle it to prevent the temptation. You'll just need to eat more pumpkins. If you play solo, this achievement is almost as easy as completing a Medium ship while not in Zen mode. Which isn't easy, and takes time, but if you can complete a ship solo, you can do this..
