How to unlock the Hey, what's this button do? achievement in Outer Wilds - Definitive Guide
When you enter the cockpit of your ship, do not buckle up, and just look to the right of the dashboard to see a red button. When you highlight it, you should be prompted to push X to "Raise Eject Cover". Once you do that, push X again to eject. Achievement unlocked.

Thanks! Might be worth adding that to “Free look” to have to hold Down on D-pad.

You don't have to sit down to highlight the eject button. I've edited the solution slightly.

Enter your ship and walk into the cockpit but don't Buckle Up. Look at the right side of your flight console and find a red button. When looking at it, you should have the option to Raise Eject Cover. Do that and then Eject. That will unlock the achievement. Do it immediately after you wake up and you can also unlock the Gone in 60 Seconds achievement.
Special note: You must start a new loop after getting the trophy, as the spaceship will break.
This can be done anytime. Simply enter the ship and sit on it. Hold and use to look around. On the right side, you will see a small button. Push to open the cover and press a second time to eject the cabin.

Sitting strapped in the ship, in free inspection mode (with the down button pressed on the cross ), if you turn your head to the right, you can see a red button behind a glass cap. Need to click twice: first open the cap, and then eject. Pleasant flight

To get the trophy, you need to enter the free inspection mode of the cockpit in the ship. And look at the right side of the control panel. There will be a button, click on it twice and the trophy is yours.
