How to unlock the It belongs in a museum! achievement in Outer Wilds - Definitive Guide
You need to bring the forge core (or any "artifact" such as black/white hole cores, however scrolls and projection plates didn't work for me) to the museum observatory at the main village.
To get the forge core you're heading to Ash Twin planet. You need to wait several minutes until enough sand is sucked to Ember Twin in order to get into a specific tower.
If you follow the sand vortex around the equator the first one has a sun pattern on the roof, then it's two towers next to each other. You need to get to the floor of the tower with the broken roof.
Now stand in there near the far wall (opposite of the good tower) until the vortex is overhead. Wait until it's exactly overhead and run into the center of the floor. You'll be teleported to the core. Go around to the opposite of this area and there's a switch to open the core housing and a switch to disable gravity. Do both those, grab the core, go back on the pad you used to get here, go back in your ship, and fly back to the observatory. Achievement will pop as soon as you step foot inside the museum area with core in hand.

Nearly perfect guide! One thing I would add -- it's probably worth warning people that if you take the core and head back to the museum, and don't put it back (or don't quit out before the end of the cycle), you will have broken the time loop and will permanently die.
So if you are still trying to get everything together for the Archaeologist achievement you need to make sure you don't allow this loop to end with you still holding on to the core!
If you're quick you can quit out of the game and delete your local save data.

Nice. I actually got this by bringing back a broken warp core from the Vessel in Dark Bramble. This seems much faster.

To perform this i followed the path in the video link below to get to the High Energy Lab. Once there I just grabbed one of the Warp Cores off the wall in the Lab and then proceeded to to go back to the home planet to the Observatory. Walk into the Observatory building and achievement should pop soon after.

Guide to It belongs in a museum Achievement:
-Take off in your ship and start heading to the Ash Twin.
-Land on just beside the equator to avoid your ship being carried away by the sand.
-Wait until some towers start to appear along the equator. Find the one that is two towers of unequal height right next to each other with a bridge across them.
--When you can, enter the shorter tower and stand in the little enclave by the bookshelves so you have a roof over your head. Wait for the sand pillar to head over top, and when it is directly above you, quickly run onto the purple teleporter on the floor.

The easiest way is to drag one of the energy cores from the Energy Labs at the Hour of Coal. Scrolls and tablets with texts say they don’t work, I haven’t checked it myself.

You can bring
1) One of the energy cores that are in the laboratory at the Hour of Coal
2) An empty hypercore on the Starship, which is located on the Blackthorn
3) Advanced hypercore at the Hour of Ashes.
It’s enough just to walk into the observatory with an object in your hands.
