How to unlock the The Silenced Cartographer achievement in Outer Wilds - Definitive Guide

On Timber Hearth there is a new radio tower close to spawn, get on your ship and fly over. Use your signal scope and acquire the deep space radio frequency from the satellite dish. From there, you'll find another source 20K kilometers away. It will be a small satellite. Ram into it with your ship. If you did it right, blue sparks will cover your ship.

Clever. If you zoom out while in map view, you can kinda check the orbit. It will actually let you set the DSS as a destination, so you can just autopilot, if you want.

You can also lock on to target the satellite when in freeview in the ship. If you find it via signalscope in the ship, just press lock on (default is left stick) then autopilot (default is D-pad up).

You don't even need the DLC to get this, I hit the satellite because I saw a spec flying toward me, guess I'm buying the DLC (was gonna do that anyway)

I got this as my first achievement on my first playthrough accidentally, I had no idea it was a DLC related title update

20,000 kilometers? Did you mean 20,000 meters (20 kilometers)? I doubt you have time to fly 20k kilometers before the loop resets...

It is about 20 kilometers away. It's the object in the map that is not orbiting on the horizontal plane.

Special note: the map will be disabled

During the start of the DLC journey, you will reach the Deep Space Satellite. Once you're done with it, hit it with the ship to unlock this trophy.
