How to unlock the Awoken to a Nightmare achievement in OUTRIDERS - Definitive Guide

This achievement takes around 20 minutes from the start of the game to obtain. It will pop at the end of the second mission (Tempest). The first two missions are tutorials and not difficult.

You can speed things up by pressing cn_B to bypass some cutscenes and dialogue (even when the cn_B prompt does not appear). This does not work for every cutscene, some might be masking loading times.

Why does it matter that it was a female character?

I have verified that it does not have to be the DEFAULT female character. A female character customized with a better hairstyle will also unlock this Achievement.

Popped the achievement. Using a female character. DEFAULT FEMALE CHARACTER. It tooked about 30 minutes.

I used the male character, sorry, the DEFAULT MALE CHARACTER. 10/10 would recommend

If you skip to the end game content with the world slayer dlc, youll have to just go back and make a basic character from level one. I have only just now realized i dont have this. Couldn't get it to pop any other way.

I need to know if my female character wears high heels will the achievement still unlock. Considering some pink glitter lipstick too if anyone can help.

@nal81 I was unable to create a female character that was passably attractive. The developers originally included better options and even accessories like you mentioned, but cut it all out before the game was released because THAT type of female character voids this particular Achievement. Hope that helps.

Story Related. 

This will unlock when you've woken up from the cryo chamber after discovering the anomaly the first time.
