How to unlock the Hard Bargainer achievement in OUTRIDERS - Definitive Guide

If you're looking to get this early, and/or are working on another achievement called Inventor's Almanac: needing you to obtain 125 unique mods from weapons and armor, then do not sell any blue tier or above gear. Instead hoard, and sell off any green and white tier gear. Save the Blues, Purples and maybe Legendaries you know you won't be using for dismantling to obtain the mods (unless you already have that particular mod, then go ahead and sell it), as well as another achievement, One Man's Junk: Dismantling 300 items. i.e. tracing back to obtaining the 125 unique mods. a three-in-one guide, there you go. If it's late game and you're doing this, then it's extremely simple, and effortless.

Dude you should mention the quick way you can tell if you need the mod on a weapon or not...

It’s marked with a box indicating you already have it. https://www.google.com/amp/s/amp.reddit.com/r/outriders/comm...

This achievement stoped tracking for me at 42% completion. I know I’ve sold above 200.

EDIT: I am now stuck on 96% for two days now.

I got the accolade for selling 450 items before I got this achievement. May be per character?

Simple enough. I would suggest selling any items that don't have mods attached (all white and green loot), as we need to get 125 unique modes for another achievement, and all of those items should be dismantled to get the mods for crafting.

You want to do this alongside One Man's Junk... trophy_bronze.png and, more importantly, Inventor's Almanac trophy_silver.png. Selling items is easy enough, you just need to find any vendor, hit r1.png/l1.png to get to the sell tab and choose anything you don't need. You can select multiple items by hovering over each and hitting r3.png to "mark" them, then holding cross.png to sell everything marked in one go. You'll pick up well over 300 items as you play through the story, complete side quests and work on the expeditions for Hitting the Jackpot trophy_bronze.png so there will be plenty of opportunities to get this. You can check your progress towards this trophy by going into the Accolade menu and going to Item Management. You need to sell well more than 300 items to unlock the highest tier of this accolade so this will at least give you a number visual of how many items you've sold/how many more you have to go. Once you've sold your 300th item, the trophy will unlock.

Important Note: Collecting Mods is far more important than dismantling or selling items so be sure to check which Mods you have or have not unlocked before selling anything. If it can get you a new Mod for Inventor's Almanac trophy_silver.png, do not sell it!

I recommend selling only green items. Yes, to achieve this you need 300, which you can quickly do if you start doing this from the very beginning of the game.

Why not sell blue and purple things? Because it is better to break them for reasons:
  • the ratio of materials received is higher in relation to loans
  • things have modifications, and we need to collect them for another achievement
