How to unlock the Outrider, First Class achievement in OUTRIDERS - Definitive Guide

I finished this achievement with Devaststor and used an infinite spawn to finish every accolade needed but Reflect Bullets.

I managed to figure out that the Marsh Caverns expedition can be played forever.

To do this you choose the Marsh caverns expedition on tier 1. If it’s not there, just return to lobby and load back until it is available.

To get it to work, play through until you have to charge the crystal (big red pulsing rock). From here charge the rock about halfway and then stop, don’t stand in the circle anymore. Enemies will spawn for about 20 minutes (at least for me they did). Eventually they will stop. When they do, just charge the rock to about 1/4 left to charge then leave circle again. At this point the enemies will not stop spawning. You have have a constant flow of small enemies with about 3 or 4 alphas per wave. I did this for 2 hours last night before I unlocked the final accolades I needed. They never stopped spawning. I could’ve kept going if need be but I finished what I needed to do. When you kill all enemies just wait a second or two and you will see more show up in your radar.

For the reflect bullets, if still needed, choose the frontline expedition. Run through using reflect as much as possible. Make sure you’re skill points are put to lower cooldown and modded to make it last longer. Run through reflecting as much as possible, get to the boss, let it kill you and just retry. You can get about 100 reflects per run which at tier 1 doesn’t take too long. You can also do others on this map.

The infinite spawn should help everyone get some accolades done. The rock charge probably isn’t super specific, but you do need to charge and just leave circle at certain charge points.

Pro tip. If you are pyromancer use mod for ash to be consumed by overheat instead of burn and you will rip through over heat accolade

Many thanks for this, I found running back up the hill when the large bird thing appears, and staying at the top (the bird cannot follow you in) keeps spawning loads of beasts... Finally unlocked Time Trap 5 stars with my Trickster grinding this way 👍

I know you play devastator but you got any tips for technomancer fixing wave?
I got everything else through natural progression but as I’ve only played solo I’ve never used the fixing wave gadget

This was the way that I did the grind. To clarify, you can charge the stone until the Brood Mother spawns then if you kill her the only mobs that will infinitely spawn are low level besides the Alpha mobs (but at Tier 1 they don't pose much of an issue).

The arena is also big enough to keep running around to gather a pack (for AOE skill kills) without permanent stun lock. Just make sure not to run into the stone charging circle but there's plenty of room to avoid it.

@ghostdeep I play techno and mostly solo also. Maybe see if your turrets count as healing? It’s the only thing I can think of since it also heals your turrets too.

@Ghostdeep88 the fixing wave does heal you too so it doesnt matter at all. As long as you're healing yourself it'll count towards the Accolades.

What did you do for the Impale one for the Devastator? Spike forest and impaler mods and get cooldown as low as possible or did you have access to T3 mods?

I can confirm that the Marshland infinite spawn works well, but its so boring.
I tried for a while, but then found it more interesting to just jump between tier 1 expeditions. That way you collect a stack of loot each time and you don't feel like you're banging your head against a brick wall.
Play the game it was meant to be played, try not to grind it too much. The counters for all the accolades work brilliantly.

One tip I would recommend if you are using the TRICKSTER, definitely turn on the TWISTED ROUNDS skill as this enables you to get through all the gun kill accolades much quicker.

I am working through this with pyromancer after finishing the main story. My tactic to get all my skills accolades done is to go back to trench town on world tier 1, reactivate hunter missions at the bar, work through these missions with the skills I equipped that I have not achieved their 5 with, let the little alien guys surround me, then use my skills to get max hits and kills. Seems to be working quite quickly for most of them. Good luck everyone.

It doesn’t appear as if this method works as of the latest patch. I’m in the Marshland Caverns, solo, T1 at the “Charge the crystal” objective and I’ve exited the circle every time enemies spawn, but there is always one wave and then nothing until I charge the crystal more. It looks like there’s three or four phases and that’s it.

I am having the same results as wackfiend. 1 wave spawn every 25% of charge. Regardless of wait time outside of the crystal as well. Definitely seems patched out at this point.

I tried it today, it’s patched out. Expeditions are probably still the fastest way to do this but the method in the solution no longer seems to work.

Anyone that's looking to grind Trickster: Time Shift - Pop on the mod for 3x Time Shift distance and head to the Archways of Enoch expedition. At the beginning, just kite the small Perforos back and forth, hitting them in a line at each end of the walkway. Enemies count every time they're lifted, so no need to kill them. This works anywhere, but I found this to be the easiest place.

Confirming that Marshland Caverns (Tier 1) is a GREAT place to spawn lots of enemies over time. I was grinding out my last skill (FASER Beam) for Pyromancer and spent just under an hour in the expedition. In that time, I only had to recharge/reset the crystal once and got: 408 Perforo, 132 Venomous Perforo, 51 Alpha Perforo, 16 Maulers and a few of the other larger enemies along the way.

Once I made it to the crystal, at first, I was only getting a drip of 3-5 Perforo & 2 Venomous Perforo at a time. That lasted maybe 30 mins. Once I stood in the circle to charge the crystal a bit more, lots more started spawning regularly, including 3 Alphas at a time.

All that to say THANK YOU! :)

Start story point at first city(world tier 1) —> reach across the river checkpoint

Don’t shoot any enemies as they spawn in just run right to the end up the stairs then do circles so there all bunched up you should have around 25-30 to shoot at on first pile up then around 15 then 10 and being on tier 1 they should die fairly fast

For skill accolades that you don’t need to kill just inflict status effects just play on the highest tier your currently on and run around in circles letting your skills hit them everytime the effect runs out, Youl also gain tier experience too for better loot

Video guide on roughly what to do works with a lot of different skills:

To add on to this. For the trickster Slow Trap (Use slow trap to catch 20,000 bullets) I have found the most effective place to grind is: Trench Town story point 3 - Push back the Insurgents in No Man's Land.

World Tier 1. Enter the battlefield, take cover and pop your shield. Don't kill any enemies and just let them shoot your shield. Rinse and repeat.

Works well until most of the enemies have gotten bored and rushed you at which point you can either die to reload the checkpoint or push forward to the next big wave of enemies.

I have no idea why this got downvoted. There are 62 enemies you could kill/ inflict status on in this spot and it goes by super fast. Did 3 accolades very fast today to finish the game off. If you need kills/ status effects, it's a great spot.

For Pyronmancer the overheat doesn't work with ash for some reason I too have the same issues of the game not reading the effects. What I used was fire bullet skill with overheat and it started to read it. Not sure if overheat is still buggy but I read people are having the same issues.

Overheat is used for burn exclusively. You can mod an armor piece that will allow it to consume ash however.

Up the difficulty to hit enemies several times with blasts etc. Doesn't have to be x different enemies. The 3.5k for Devastator go by really fast. Especially with the +1 and +2 blast mods. They stack.

I had some mods that gave an extra target to impale and then also another use per cool down. So could kill 4 enemies before a cool down, had it on most of the way through the story..

AlterPred has it right, you can do Ash Blast to freeze enemies, then Heatwave to apply Burn, then pop Overheat and it'll work towards all three accolades.

I did this at the First City - Reach Across the River personally. FWIW Ash Blast can be applied multiple times to the same enemies and it counts, so if it's your last accolade that's easy.

Easily the best place i've found to do this post-game is the expedition Archways of Enoch. There's around 200/300 enemies during the course of this almost all of which will charge you making it easy to lead them around bunch up and dispose of at your leisure. Can be pretty tricky if not at world tier one though so be warned

In order to gain this achievement, you have to obtain all the class ability accolades to the maximum level. All these accolades are cumulative over time when you use your skills, but it is important to know what conditions you have to meet to ensure you are efficient in reaching those accolade levels.

General Tips

Know the accolade conditions: This sounds obvious, but when you have a skill equipped, take the time to know what you have to do to achieve the accolade. Some skills require you to kill enemies to make it count, while others just require you to hit opponents with your skill – this makes things much easier. There are skills that require you to hit a minimum number of opponents for your accolade counter to go up, or you might need to take damage in order to heal / mitigate that damage. Don’t waste your time by using your skills in the wrong situation.

Play the game: The reality of Outriders is that there are plenty of enemies to take on, so you don’t need to farm an area if you want to raise your accolade counter. Provided you swap your skills over time (especially once you’ve reached the maximum accolade level for that skill) you’ll be in a position by the end of the game to be a long way towards your skills ticking off your accolades. The end game is running through Expeditions – repeatable maps with lots of enemies – that can be used to get those final skills accolades (provided you are willing to sacrifice your completion time i.e. don’t do this in random multiplayer games).

Playing hard mode: That said, the reality is that not sticking with your ‘best’ skills at all times means you are making Outriders harder for yourself. As an example, a Technomancer’s Blighted Rounds is an incredible skill that will let you mow down enemies at incredible speed. It won’t be that long before you will have reached the maximum accolade level for inflicting toxic status on 1250 enemies. However, then you have a choice – do you replace Blighted Rounds, making the gameplay tougher, or do you keep Blighted Rounds as an active skill, slowing down your ability to gain accolade levels on your other skills? The choice is up to you (trick question: keep Blighted Rounds once you get it) but you’ll have to manage the trade-off.

Some skills suck: As in all games, there are good skills, and there are weak skills. Because you have to max out all your accolades on a class for this achievement, you’ll need to deal with the bad skills too. Following on from the example above, Technomancers also have Fixing Wave, which heals you, your team mates (if any) and your turrets. The maximum accolade level requires 200,000 healing in total from this skill. If you are playing Outriders properly, you’ll be doing so much damage that you generally won’t need to heal yourself, while turrets don’t have a lot of health. Fixing Wave is just a weak skill that replaces other, much better options, but you’ll have to grind this out if you want to accolade using the Technomancer class.

Mod it up: Having the right skill mods on your armour can make gaining accolade outcomes much quicker. Once you’ve started to disassemble blue armour items, you’ll unlock those mods and be able to place them on other armour pieces for the price of some leather. If your accolade requires kills, look for mods that increase skill damage. If you have to hit enemies for the accolade, look for mods that increase the duration or range of that skill. You can look to put up to ten different skill mods on your armour (five armour pieces with two mod slots each) but focusing only on skill mods might leave your character a bit vulnerable to times when your skills are on cool down.

Class tree bonuses: Some of your choices in your class tree will impact on how your skills behave, such as lasting longer or providing additional benefits when you use them. Don’t depend on these contributions, but they can certainly help achieve those accolades.

Know thy enemy: Learn how many uses of your skills it takes to kill or disable an enemy. Know if they can shield themselves or avoid your status effects. It’s annoying to use your skill on an enemy only to have them survive a direct hit or Absorbing Armour-away that status effect, meaning you’ll have to wait for the cooldown to finish before you can use that skill again.

Drop the difficulty: If you want to make things easier for yourself, you can always drop the world tier or challenge tier. You won’t get the good item drops, but you will make it easier to complete the accolade requirements. It is probably best to save this for the end of the game, when getting great loot is less of a priority compared to completing the achievement, and you have a choice of Expeditions to play through.

Uno momento, Perforo: Kill, freeze, poison, burn, ash et al Perforos. Repeat thousands of times. Watch your accolade counters climb.

Technomancer

Scrapnel – Kill 750+ enemies with Scrapnel: Look for mods that boost damage and the number of Scrapnel grenades before you go into cooldown. Make sure they can one-hit kill a Perforo at your preferred world tier and then use them to clear out these little guys. If you miss with a Scrapnel, remember that they then turn into proximity mines, so you can hopefully attract an enemy into them for the kill.

Cryo Turret – Hit 1000+ enemies with status effects: Honestly, just throw this turret out there and it will auto-aim at enemies. Easy. If enemies are in cover, throw the cryo turret over the cover and let it get to work.

Pain Launcher – Kill 500+ enemies: This is an annoying skill as you’ll have to get the timing right on when it launches versus where enemies have moved to. Pain Launcher has a mod that deals AOE damage when you place it, which counts kills achieved this way. Boosting the damage per rocket through a mod can also help achieve those kills.

Blighted Rounds – Use this skill to inflict toxic on 1250+ enemies: Very easy to do, since Blighted Rounds is an incredible skill that mows down enemies. Best used on weapons with large magazines and possibly backed up with armour mods that give you ammo for killing enemies.

Fixing Wave – Use this skill to restore 200,000 health: The worst skill to grind out for Technomancer. Ideally you’ll want to leave this for later in the game, when you have characters with health pools of several thousand points, along with the ability to throw out multiple turrets as healing turrets also counts. If you can team up with consenting players, healing their damage will also count. However, given how healing works in Outriders, this is a waste of a skill.

Cold Snap – Use this skill to freeze five enemies at once 150+ times: Best used against groups of Perforo or melee enemies like Cutthroats or Berserkers. Use an armour mod to boost its effective range, make sure you have at least five red dots around you and hit this skill. Just be aware of any enemies with abilities to ignore status effects (e.g. Alpha Perforo and Absorbing Armour).

Blighted Turret – Hit 1000+ enemies with a status effect: Another excellent, auto-aiming skill. What it lacks in range, it makes up for in a short cooldown and ability to degrade enemy stats, especially if you have the appropriate path in the class tree. Just throw it towards enemies and it will do the rest.

Devastator

Earthquake – Kill 1000+ enemies: Look for a mod to boost Earthquake’s damage and the number of times it can be used before cooldown. Earthquake can reach a surprisingly large way forward and also provides a small AOE around your character. If it can one- or two-hit Perforo to death, you’ll be fine.

Golem – Absorb 100,000+ damage: There are mods that will make Golem last longer, or give you extra time when you kill an opponent. However, provided you use it regularly and don’t duck behind cover, it won’t be too long before you reach this accolade, especially if you start using Golem later in the game and / or at higher world tiers.

Gravity Leap – Kill 500+ enemies: You’ll be best off boosting your damage for this skill, but because you’ll be looking for kills, make sure you know it will do enough to finish off an enemy or five before you activate it.

Reflect Bullets – Hit 1000+ enemies with reflected bullets: Easy in some ways – activate this skill and then stand out in the open, catching bullets from all the enemies in front of you. When the skill ends, you’ll send the bullets back as an express delivery. DO NOT use the mod that lets you shoot but also lets through 50% of the damage - you'll want the full level of protection. This should be focused on human and feral enemies – there are better skills for fighting beasts.

Impale – Kill 750+ enemies: The most grindy of the Devastator skills. In its natural format, Impale only hits a single target, and it isn’t a guaranteed kill. Mod your armour to boost Impale’s damage, number of activations before cooldown and number of spikes per time – you’ll end up being able to kill four enemies every cooldown if you play it right. Turn down your world tier to guarantee those one-hit kills.

Tremor – Get 3500+ hits: If you have enemies around you, Tremor will hit them during its activation period. Use an armour mod to add two extra tremors each time you use this skill. This works best against groups of melee opponents or any enemy that likes to get close.

Boulderdash – Get 1500+ hits: Again, another skill best used against grouped melee enemies. Boosting its damage so that it possibly one-hit kills Perforo will make this a safer skill to use. Boulderdash isn’t recommended to use in fights against large numbers of ranged opponents – you probably won’t be able to reach enough enemies to make using this skill worth it.

Endless Mass – Pull 500+ enemies: Another relatively easy skill to use. The enemy effected by this skill will draw in in their surrounding friends. This is great to use against rushing melee opponents, although sometimes is a bit hard to aim. TEndless Mass can also be very useful for grouping up enemies to use other AOE skills like Gravity Leap on. No mods are needed to speed your progress on your way to this accolade.

I don’t have enough experience with Trickster or Pyromancer classes to comment on those skills, but hopefully someone else can add to this information in the comments below. If that happens, I'll bring it up into this guide with attributed credit.

You'll unlock Classy trophy_bronze.png as you go for this trophy. There are 42 Accolades to complete for each class. 8 are split into 5 Tiers each and are all related to your skills. The remaining 2 are for completing (4) Tier 5 accolades and then, of course, all 8, which will also get you this trophy. These can be a bit of a grind, especially if one of your skills has an "interrupt" effect (see below for more info). Be sure to check on your progress towards these now and then so you can switch out your skills when each accolade is complete.

The Skills that require either damage, hits or kills won't be too crazy to do since you'll be fighting a ton of enemies anyways. The interrupt skills, however, are where you'll find the grind. An interrupt effect can only be placed on an enemy if/when they are casting an attack, which of course, not all enemies will do. All Elites will do this as well as the Boss' within the story. You'll know when they're casting an attack as when there is a yellow bar above their health bar. For that reason, it's recommended you wait until you unlock the Expeditions after you've completed the Story to work on those skill accolades. The Expeditions have a plethora of Elites within them that you can grind these skills out on. It'll still take a bit of time but it'll go by much quicker versus if you worked on them during the Story.

Just keep going at it and once you've completed all the Skills through Tier 5, you'll have completed all 42 Accolades and this trophy will unlock.

This achievement requires that you complete all five tiers of all the different accolades in the class portion of the accolades tab. The requirements are varied depending on the class you choose, but generally they involve getting kills, inflicting status effects, healing or blocking damage, etc. You can check what your class requires in the accolades tab of the menu. I would suggest sticking with whatever skills you enjoy the most during the story, rather than sticking with the first unlocks until you master all the tiers, then swapping them out for a new skill. The only reason I suggest this is that some skills can't really get kills on their own. I found the Technomancer's Pain Launcher for instance to really be underpowered, and moved away from it as I increased the world tiers. You can then kill large swarms of enemies with it later on by lowering the world tier. Use your skills any time the cooldown is up to maximize the chance of completing the accolades.

The best way to grind this out later on is using the Marsh Caverns Expedition. You can get an unlimited spawn of enemies when charging the crystal during this mission. Charge it about halfway and kill everything that has spawned, then charge it another quarter to about 75% and leave the charging area. At this point, enemies should continually spawn. Put the difficulty to the lowest world tier and everything will die quickly if you need kills. If you need damage healed/blocked you can increase the world tier so they do more damage to you.

Probably the only trophy that will require targeted farming, since as you progress through the game you simply won’t have enough enemies to get all the rewards.

Each award relates to some ability - of which you have 8.
You need to either use/kill/or hit a certain number of times.

General tips:
1) As soon as you receive new abilities, immediately equip them in place of those for which the rewards have already been received
2) If you are not playing at a high level of the world, then install modifications and download skills in the branch that reduce the cooldown of abilities
3) The easiest way to do it is on small mobs at the 1st level of the world
4) Many items of armor have a reduction in the cooldown of abilities; when upgrading all 5 items using fragments, you can reduce the cooldown by as much as 40 percent

In my opinion, the best place for farming is the episode First City, point "Cross the River"
There you will have an arena with a huge number of small monsters, and behind it another 1 with the same number (+ a couple of shooters and 1 alpha)
At the first level of the world (and at level 15 too) these pair of arenas can be run through in 2-3 minutes. Then when they ask you to lower the bridge, just go out to the lobby, activate the same plot point again and go again. Everything that I didn’t finish off during the course of the plot, I finished off there.
There you can also level up the world and loot 4 chests - if you need it. Example of a race on video (first 5 minutes)

I played as a trickster myself, so I’ll leave some advice on him:
1) Hunting knife - you need to debuff enemies with a knife - and not kill them. This means that if you throw a knife into a crowd of enemies who die from it, then this does not count. So for this ability it is better to increase the level of the world so that the knife does not finish off enemies. A mod that increases the number of knife jumps helps
2) Borrow time - it doesn’t matter how many enemies you kill after the Borrow time ability, and only the first kill counts, so the tactic is this: Use the ability, kill the mob, use it again to trigger its cooldown and quickly use it again
3) Tornado - you just need to hit and not necessarily kill, remember this. In a tornado you move slowly enough, a mod for + speed in a tornado will help
4) Rolled cartridges - you will probably get it in any case because the skill is imba - but still - I advise you to insert the Perpetual Motion modification into the weapon. It restores cartridges in the magazine if you finish off the target and there are few cartridges, which allows you to constantly run with cartridges
5) Time distortion - a mod to triple the range will help

I’ll add on the trickster: with the “tornado” skill you need to hit the enemy, and every hit even against one enemy counts. You can farm this very quickly in the first city using perforo

I’ll add to Black_Nero, the best location for farming class skills is the hunter’s quest Queen of the Ore Court, also a Wendigo. Very dynamic. Leave 2-3 mobs at the end so that the Persian is killed. If you turned in the missions to the bartender, run them again.

This trophy is best done in expeditions with apocalypse level 1 and on maps where monsters predominate - they usually get into close combat and killing them is not difficult. The main thing is to upgrade your equipment to at least lvl 40, then it will be very easy to take out everyone with your abilities. I pumped up the destroyer like that and finished off the rest in 7-8 hours.

Regarding the Pyromancer's Overheating skill, throughout the entire game I only used this skill 30 times, the problem is that you need to absorb a total of 1000 states from enemies. The most effective method is to put the Ashes In Eyes skill. And the items have the skill Embers , which absorbs Ash instead of burning.
You burst into a crowd of enemies, use the Ashes in the Eyes skill, immediately after it Overheating and at a low level of the world, all the mobs die next to you. To speed up the process, put skills on things that increase the radius of these skills, the ideal place for farming is that after completing the story campaign, expeditions will open, there is a level Rattles City , there are a lot of enemies in cramped spaces, you can complete any test very quickly.

Each class has its own set of skills.
In the "Rewards" list for each class there is a set of tasks.
Each such task has 5 levels (displayed by stars) with certain conditions, for example:

"Kill 50/100/200/350/500 enemies with the Bang skill"

To obtain the achievement, you must complete tasks for each available skill.

It will be easy to do this at world level 1, when enemies die at a glance. Therefore, we stock up on patience, turn on the 1st level of the world, select the necessary skills, and go crush enemies with them.
